How many times a month do you have to restart the NT Server? And how many minutes are you offline while restarting? _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com

[SQL] Retrieving info from the previous SQL insert
by Stephane Bortzmeyer 12 Dec '01

12 Dec '01

I have a SQL method which performs an INSERT in one table, followed by an INSERT into another table. The two INSERTs have to be in the same method because they need to be atomic. In the first table, there is an auto-incrementing field that the PostgreSQL DBMS assigns itself. I need the value of that field for the second INSERT and I don't see how to retrieve it inside the SQL method. Yes, I'll read more deeply PostgreSQL documentation and Zope documentation and <dtml-var my_postgresql_zope_adapter> documentation but, in the mean time, if someone has a ready-to-use solution?

Zope 2.4.3 crashing continually
by Jin Choi 12 Dec '01

12 Dec '01

I'm having continual crashing problems with Zope 2.4.3 running on Solaris. I first noticed it when loading the management interface would sometimes give error pages in one or more of the frames. Checking the Control Panel, the uptime would be under a minute; the server had crashed and the zdaemon had restarted it. Has anyone else seen this sort of problem? I turned on the error log, and it shows that the server is going down fairly often, sometimes several times per hour, with an Aiieee and an error code of 256. I was reading somewhere that that indicates that some Product had exited. The only non-distribution product I have installed is the latest DCOracle2; might that be causing it?

WebDAV or FTP "type"s?
by Derek Simkowiak 12 Dec '01

12 Dec '01

I asked this before, as part of a longer email, but got no response. How do I specify the "type" for objects which are uploaded via WebDAV or FTP? That is, I want *.html (or *.css or *.js) to be something other than a DTML Document (or DTML Method). Where do I specify that? Also, I want *.jpg and *.gif to be something other than "Image". This is the core question for using Zope to solve my clients' problem. Thank You, Derek Simkowiak dereks(a)realloc.net

You can use a zope product named xron Hans de Wit "Josef Meile" <jmeile@hotma To: <zope(a)zope.org> il.com> cc: Sent by: Subject: [Zope] Running a method automatically zope-admin@zo pe.org 12-12-01 10:17 AM I'm just wondering if it is possible to execute a method (it could be a DTML Method or a Python script) automatically. ie: once a day. How can I do it? Thanks in advanced, Josef.

Zope with IIS using NT security, remote user mode
by Michael Wills 12 Dec '01

12 Dec '01

Hello all: I was kindly reminded not to send messages in HTML format. Many thanks for the reminder. It took a while to figure out how to turn it off. Sorry for the nuisance. I am wondering if anyone can point me to information about setting up Zope to run in remote user mode. I am trying to get Zope to work with IIS and use NT security. I have followed the documentation but haven't been successful. The only thing I can think of is remote user mode. I am not sure exactly what that is or how to properly set it up. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Michael
