Kamal, When you tested it, did you put in a value for all three arguments? Hello Steve, When executed, it actually displayed a form asking me to enter the values for the variable which I did. It displayed the error after clicking on the submit query button. regards. kamal On Friday, November 23, 2001, at 01:54 PM, Hamzat kamal wrote: Hi, I intend to use Login Manager for user authentication to archive folder on my website. RE: [Psycopg] Authentication Problem with Postgres
by Paul Zwarts 26 Nov '01

Andre, Hmmm... This is a bit over my head. I don't see why zope would be sending something different after a restart. I've cross-posted this to the zope list because there are some hard-hitters there that will know more (if Frederico doesn't get to it first : )) You are correct though, the dbase connections should be persistent (at least they are for me). Perhaps you have manually coded your ZPsycopgDA to do the password encrypting? Because I'm reasonably _sure_ the connection string from within the zope management interface is cleartext. Perhaps something between Zope, ZPsycopgDA and postgres is going wrong. Sorry I cant help more, Paul Zwarts -----Original Message----- From: andre(a)oratrix.nl [mailto:andre@oratrix.nl] On Behalf Of Andre Schubert Sent: Friday, November 23, 2001 11:33 AM To: Paul Zwarts Cc: psycopg(a)lists.initd.org Subject: Re: [Psycopg] Authentication Problem with Postgres Hi Paul, Zope and Postgres are running on different machines. Postgres only allows crypted session. We have traced only crypted passwords. I think the problem is that there is a wrong password crypted and then sent to postgres, and after a restart the right password is crypted and sent to postgres???? But why does Zope send a password again, i thought the connections of Zope where persistent connections??? How can a track down connection-establishing?? Multiple sites, shared content
by Howard Hansen 26 Nov '01

26 Nov '01

I'm setting up a series of sites for different states. Some content is shared among the different states, other content will exist only in some states, other content will exist for all states. Ideally, I'd like to have a single folder for all shared content, which would allow us to eliminate dual maintenance. Each state will have its own domain and I'd like the shared content to appear to be local, and have the option of replacing the shared content with customized content for a state that has it. Finally, it would be very nice to have search catalogs treat shared data as local. I remember seeing code for inserting a location into the acquisition path. Would that do the trick? Would it still work if I had multiple levels in a folder structure? Alternatively, can I create something like a symbolic link in Zope? Thanks for any suggestions or comments! Global Variable
by Pascal Samuzeau 26 Nov '01

Hi, I've that code : <dtml-let TEST="'dir'"> <dtml-in "portal_catalog.searchResults(Type='Cas clinique', review_state='published', sort_on='Date', sort_order='reverse')" size=1 end=1> <dtml-var id> </dtml-in> </dtml-in> <script type="text/javascript"> var image = 0; var delai = 2000; var icone = new Array (); var lelien = ''; var max = <dtml-var "compte_images(repertoire='/uv/web/cnr/cas/&TEST;',prefixe='Ima-') - 1">; I need to get the value returned by the <dtml-var id> in the function called "compte_images" and in some others later in the code. My question : I need something like a global variable, that I may use here and there. But, infortunately, I don't know how to write it. Anyone knows it ? Problems viewing pdf's
by Orietta Barbari 26 Nov '01

26 Nov '01

Hi does anybody know if there are any problems with viewing pdfs on zope ? >From the management interface, if I add/upload a file from my local machine which is a .pdf, and give it the id of 'mypdf', the file uploads perfectly. The problem occurs when I come put a link in my site which calls the pdf. (ie. <a href="mypdf" target="_blank">View mypdf</a>) The problem is, when I select the link to view the pdf document in a browser - sometimes it gets displayed and sometimes it doesn't. If I can't view my pdf, I've found that going back to the management interface and checking that the pdf is viewable there (clicking on the 'view' tab on the file) then makes it viewable in the browser too - however this is not a universal solution. I've checked that the Content Type property of mypdf = application/pdf, and have followed the instructions in the following posting : http://zope.nipltd.com/public/lists/zope-archive.nsf/47ba74c812dbc5dd802 5687f0024bb5f/3e35f3fd59a9dd2a8025691a005c40eb?OpenDocument but I'm afraid I'm still having no joy. I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious, could anyone point me in the right direction ? Any help would be much appreciated.
