Please Help! Wierd error that wasn't there before...
by Rob Foster 05 Nov '01

I had this working before... a user fills out a form which posts to a script which in turn creates a new user. Now, when a user is created in acl_users and when I click on it, I get the error below... I've tried changing the roles, moving the acl_users directory and changing the python script, all to no avail. The Zope user stuff is becoming really frustrating. I could use some help. Thanks in advance. Turn off Z2.log
by Tom Cameron 05 Nov '01

05 Nov '01

How do I turn off the Z2.log logging? I am running Zope behind apache and I am using apache for all the logging. I have turned on STUPID_LOGFILE, so I really have no need for the Z2.log file. It is just a waste of processing power and disk space. The flags for the Z2.py file show how to change the location of this file but not how to turn it off. Thanks Tom

Skin flexibility option not working?
by Antwan Reijnen 05 Nov '01

05 Nov '01

Hi all, I'm playing with the Skin Flexibility (allow arbitrary skins to be selected) option, in the properties of portal_skins. I turn it on, and off, but see no difference in behaviour: Either way it is possible for a normal user to switch the skin in the preferences section. So what's wrong here? My understanding of this option, maybe? I use Zope 2.4.2, CMF 1.1 final. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Greetings, Antwan. Using Extreme Programming with Zope
by Paolo Bizzarri 05 Nov '01

Hi everyone, I am trying to use extreme programming for developing Zope application. However, I have no good idea on how to automate the unit tests for the user interface. Has someone done something on this ? Best regards Paolo Bizzarri -- Paolo Bizzarri - Presidente - Icube S.r.l.
