You doofus!! If you pass an argument named tblProjData.MktSectorID then all is well. -mjm -----Original Message----- From: Montagne, Michael [mailto:montagne@BOORA.com] Sent: Friday, September 28, 2001 4:15 PM To: 'zope(a)zope.org' Subject: [Zope] dtml-sqltest The following string in a ZSQL method will not include any where clause. What is wrong? The MktSectorID field occurs in both tables so I need to specify it with the dot notation. Could that be it? If I remove the optional, I get the same result. SELECT tblProjData.projnumb, tblProjData.projname, tblProjPhase.ProjIsActive, tblProjMktSector.projtype, tblProjData.MktSectorID FROM (tblProjData INNER JOIN tblProjMktSector ON tblProjData.MktSectorId = tblProjMktSector.MktSectorID) INNER JOIN tblProjPhase ON tblProjData.ProjPhaseID = tblProjPhase.StatusID <dtml-sqlgroup where> <dtml-sqltest tblProjData.MktSectorID type="int" op="eq" optional> </dtml-sqlgroup> ORDER BY tblProjData.projnumb; _______________________________________________ Zope maillist - Zope(a)zope.org http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope ** No cross posts or HTML encoding! ** (Related lists - http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-announce http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-dev )

Z SQL Methods appear broken in 2.4.x
by joe＠silverwolf.com 28 Sep '01

28 Sep '01

It appears that Z SQL Methods are broken in 2.4.x. Specifically, the type=string in a <dtml-sqlvar> is broken - a simple ZSQL query such as: select id, cost, name from choices where name = <dtml-sqlvar nam type=string> results in the following error: exceptions.NameError: global name 'string' is not defined It's broken on 2.4.0 and 2.4.1, and works fine on 2.2.5, 2.3.0, and 2.3.2 - in fact, it's in production on our 2.2.5. Integer parameters work fine. It's hard to believe that no one else has run into this, and that the stable 2.4.x branch has gotten this far without anyone noticing this - I've even tried it on 2 different servers running Zope 2.4 (2.4.1 on FreeBSD 4.0, our production web server, and 2.4.0 on FreeBSD 4.3, our dev server) Any ideas? Zclass Renderable clarification
by Brad Clements 28 Sep '01

28 Sep '01

Just a clarification on my problem using Renderable. If I define a Zclass dtml method called index_html and have it call the render method, then non-folder objects render correctly. That is, if I have a zclass instance called X in folder Z, then Z/X renders. However if I have a zclass instance called index_html in folder Z, then Z/index_html does not render correctly, instead it just shows the DTML Method contents of Zclass Instance X Brad Clements, bkc(a)murkworks.com (315)268-1000 http://www.murkworks.com (315)268-9812 Fax netmeeting: ils://ils.murkworks.com AOL-IM: BKClements

Copying users from one instance to another
by James Garrison 28 Sep '01

28 Sep '01

I have created a new Zope instance and wish to copy all my users from an older instance. I tried exporting the acl_users folder but cannot reimport it on top of the existing acl_users in the new instance. Can I get away with deleting the acl_users folder in the new instance long enough to import the old exported acl_users? -- James Garrison Athens Group, Inc. mailto:jhg@athensgroup.com 5608 Parkcrest Dr http://www.athensgroup.com Austin, TX 78731 PGP: RSA=0x04B73B7F DH/DSS=0x70738D88 (512) 345-0600 x150

OT: Need a Zope w/CMF site designer
by David Cinege 28 Sep '01

28 Sep '01

I gave DC first shot but as I figured this is too small of a project. Please reply offlist if you're interested. Dave ----------------------------------------------------------------- I need a site designed, and would like to use Zope and CMF. Infact I've already created a basic layout using both of these products, but I lack: 1: Time (too busy coding other work in Python. : > ) 2: Indepth Zope Knowledge (see #1) 3: Artistic Web Ability. to be able to finish. The site will be segriagted access (time based subscriber areas) and will primarily offer image galleries for content. What I need: 1: General site design 2: General site graphics (I already have a basic look.) 3: Simplified method (Zope Products, etc) to add content, IE image pages. 4: Simplified method to manage subscribers. 5: Small amount of 'How do I' email/phone time going over what you did. What I do not need: I run my own servers, already set up virtual host monster with proxy pass, etc, etc. The work I need it limited to high level site content and managment. Basicly I want a pretty CMF site that is 'turn key'. I don't want to have to mess around making the tables pretty, or figuring out what products I need. I want a straight forward method to begin adding content. At this time I do not have a lot to spend on this (several hundred dollar range), but then it's just not very large amount of work. I figure it could be finished within a week by someone who knows what they are doing. If I'm over looking the time involved let me know...

Hi! I would like to have a place where you can show people how userfriendly Zope is. I am not a programmer but I am able to build complex sites in two or three days with the lego-like products of Zope. This is a great advantage. O.K. this is more Public Relation than Community-related. BTW: Will it be a CMF-Site? Ciao! juh -- Betreutes Saufen http://www.sudelbuch.de/2000/20000904.html
