Can you put me straight? I have a folder structure like this... Folder:Delia ZSQLMethod: get_categories() Folder:Admin XXXPythonScript: do_something() DTMLMethod:test The XXXPythonScript, do_something tries to call get_categories like this... dbresults = context.get_categories(item_id=4) results = [ ] For I in dbresults: results.append(i.category_id) return results But it always says it can't find get_categories. I thought it would just look back up the tree and find it.. Alternatively, if I move do_something into the Delia folder and call it with DTMLMethod test like this... <dtml-in "do_something(item_id=4)"> <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml-in> ... I get Error Type: NameError Error Value: do_something How does a Python Script call a ZSQLMethod that is higher in the hierarchy (or maybe in the same folder)? Quick Acquisition Question

I have a ZClass that acts as a 'parent' folder for a number of similar ZClasses (similar in that they have all the same properties EXCEPT the property amParent is TRUE for the parent only (FALSE for the children). The child folders in question (as well as the parent) can contain instances of other ZClass objects. My question is, if I am in a child folder buried deep down in the branch having a parent as a root note (NOT the root folder), how can I get a list of the instances of the other ZClasses in ALL of the other child (and parent) folder? The next question is, the parent folder has a set of special folders containing, for instance, a set of contacts (ZClasses). If I am way down the tree (by an arbitrary number of intermediate folders), how would I refer back to the 'contacts' folder in the parent folder? As far as the folder in question is concerned, its parent is the child of another folder. I don't want to go all the way back up to the root node, just to the folder object that satisfies a certain condition. I've read up on acquisition, but it doesn't seem to be answering my questions. C++ style comments confound Sun compilers

I came across this again building 2.4.1b1, but there are C++ style comments in lib/python/Products/PluginIndexes/TextIndex/Splitter/ISO_8859_1_Splitter/src/ISO_8859_1_Splitter.c that prevent a clean build with the Sun version 5 compilers, at least for me under Solaris 8. Could they be changed? Oracle Stored Procedures and Transactions

I have a Script (Python) that does the following: stored_proc.AddUser stored_proc.AddTrees does some funky Python stuff zsqlmethod.insertPermissions I've had cases that my insertPermissions explode but the stored procedures have committed their data -- regardless of the transaction needing to be rolled back. In ZOPE, am I correct that everything inside a Request is in one Transaction (btw, how do you demarcate transactions?). Am I missing something? I am expecting that everything would be rolled back on a exception but it appears not. ~runyaga
