I've forgotten to say it in my announce of the patch: The title property is also set to the original file name this way: title: file:/My dad naked.jpg Perhaps we should discard every path component and the extension to only keep "My dad naked". Request for Status Report

Hi all, I hope somebody inside or outside Digital Creations can give me some more information on the following topics. I need to make a decission on these now and I would like to know a little bit about there future. I know everybody is busy, I'm just asking, hope that doesn't do much hurt. If for a certain reason, I should now all the answers to these questions myself (eg if they are somewhere posted) then let me know and guide me to the information source, thanks! I'm using the core session tracking product in a project. I would like to use it again, but: It seems the development stopped a few months back. That is, before there were more updates to the project and now there aren't. This can be a good or a bad sign. I also thought that this product would be implemented in the zope core. Now lot's is happening with the core lately (move to zope 2.4 with python 2.2.1). My question, Is the core session product still under development, is it finished or is it depreciated? Will it be someday in the zope core and how does it work under zope 2.4? Further I'm looking at the Zope Page Templates. I would like to look deeper in to it (sorry, hadn't the time to look at it earlier), but how does it work under Zope 2.4? Will it be (at the end) in the zope core as well? ZPT is dependent on ParsedXML, where is this project going? Is the latest version now also available on Windows (I'm one of these guys who doesn't has a really prefered operating system, I use both)? sorting sql result

Hi folks! i have a sql statement that returns three fields, to be known: msg, author, forum_id. I would like to let me users to sort on them. My i have zope do that for me or i have to do it by myself into the sql statement? Which is the best approach (considering performance). Using DTMLFile or PageTemplateFile in methods

I use ZPT files for my templates for my Python product development. This is what I do: def manage_addInstance(self,id): self._setObject(id, Instance(id)) class Instance(SimpleItem): def __init__(self,id): self.id = id # in the products folder there is a file called index.zpt index_html = PageTemplateFile('index', globals()) Now, this works, but consider the following extension to the class. class Instance(SimpleItem): def __init__(self,id): self.id = id def which_index_html(self): return PageTemplateFile('index', globals()) index_html = which_index_html That does NOT work! It looks like a small change, but I might be wrong. How to do this anyone? In my product the templates used will change inside the instance, so that /mysite/instance1 uses one template and /mysite/instance2 uses another. Cheers, Peter

I tried that (packing the database), but got error messages wich I really didn't have the time to worry about, so I didn't care. Thus I went the other way, the exporting/importing items alternative. Works fine if your site is small. If you have large size folders it would be better you have tons of memory.
