etcUserFolder

I'm trying to use etcUserFolder to read in my allowed users from a password file for my folder. I get it to read in my password file and it displays the correct users within Zope. When I try to access the DTMLdocument that I have created from a browser on another machine, it asks me for my username and password, which is what I'd expect. But when I enter the username and password that I have in my password file, it says that it failed to recognise the user, although within Zope it displays the user. If I enter the user name and password that I created under root to gain access to Zope then it will display me the document. Thanks in advance. From Zope point of view your javascript is just a text ! It is the browser that does the window.open. Just insert your script in your page where it should be! Document Library 0.5 with 2.4.0b2?

Hi folks, I like the idea of the document library a lot and tried to install it yesterday. However, trying to create a document library object in a folder gave me an error message, saying I'd have to create/call some index first!? Is the product (v0.5) compatible with the latest Zope beta? Lars

I have been using zope on a Linux box for a month or two and am quite fascinated with it. But I recently installed Zope on a Win2K machine and am having some trouble getting DocumentLibrary to work. It installed just fine, but every time I try to submit a document I get an error about: ErrorType: NameError ErrorValue: Except Does anyone know how to fix this? When a form is submitted using GET, the form variables are appended to the url exactly as you have shown, and they should be available. I suggest this: try something ***simple*** first. So create a page that has a form, and use dtml instructions to look at the url so you can verify that the variables were passed to the page. Make some dtml page or method that gives you a visible response to the form, showing the value of the variable that you sent (I like to have the response open another window so I can tell just what happened). Then paste that url into your browser so as to ask for the response without actually having any form on a page. You should see the same response. If this works, append another variable to the url and see if you get both of them. If this works, then check the exact syntax of your long url. This will be hard because it is so complex. Compare each part to the short url example that works. Also, have Zope display the entire form (<dtml "REQUEST.form">) - every dtml page has a REQUEST object and see if any part of you data gets into the form. At this point, you should have a good idea where something is not working. If you haven't seen an approach to solving the problem, then post to the list again. Seems to me that there are two main possibilities: 1) Your computer-generated long url has some syntax error in it. 2) The url is too long for some buffer. 2) seems unlikely, but you never know. Hi, I am working on my first serious Zope application a stumbled accross something that I cannot imagine other people have solved in the past :-) My project roughly has two sides: 1: a zope tree (DMTL documents, methods, pyhon scripts, sql methods etc.) 2: a filesystem tree (sql 'create table' scripts, Docbook source code, etc.) currently, I keep my filetree in CVS and the Zope tree in ZDB version control. It is however hard to keep that in good sync. It might be possible to export the zope tree to a .zexp file and put that in the tree, but that is not a very clean solution IMHO... I would like to have all the zope tree documents in my file tree so I can use cvs on them (and work with things like sourceforge in a normal way). I would like to keep the normal Zope management screens on DTML documents if possible.... Is there a way (a python commandline script maybe?) to extract a zope site to different files?
