Wikis without the headers and footers?
by Meilicke, Scott 19 Jun '01

19 Jun '01

Hello, I want to create a single document from all of my relevant wiki pages. I created a DTML method that calls each wiki page that I want: <dtml-var FrontPage> <dtml-var Purpose> <dtml-var KeyCustomers> etc... but that gives me headers and footers. Is there a way to remove the headers and footers of each page? I'm using zwiki 0.8.1 and zope 2.3.0. Thanks - Scott

ZWiki ignores proxy roles
by Kyler B. Laird 19 Jun '01

19 Jun '01

I've been fighting ZWiki Pages for a couple days now and I finally realized that it's probably *not* my UserFolder that's the problem. I have a Python Script that wants to append to a ZWiki Page for a user (who does not have permission to do so). The script has sufficient proxy roles, but I always get an "Unauthorized: You are not authorized to edit this ZWiki Page." The script can make other objects (like folders) that the user can not, but when it comes to a Wiki, it's powerless. I didn't find this in the archives anywhere, but what I'm really hoping for is a quick workaround. (I need to demo this tomorrow.) Any ideas? Thank you! --kyler

RE: [Zope] The Set tag, DC?

The REQUEST.set() idiom is used so often that it's probably justifiable. regards Max M

Page template in Python-based product. How?
by Rene Pijlman 18 Jun '01

18 Jun '01

I'd like to use Page Templates in a Python-based product instead of DTML templates. How do I add a Page Template to the product? Can I use: Globals.HTMLFile("name", globals()) ? Or do I need to call some other method? Kind regards, René Pijlman

RE: [Zope] Calling Objects
by Farrell, Troy 18 Jun '01

Your other option would be <dtml-var expr="Folder.Object()"> to show all that is printed or <dtml-call expr="Folder.Object()"> to show the returned data. no one using Interbase and Zope with gvibDA?
by Andreas Hölzl 18 Jun '01

18 Jun '01

please don't think that i'm impolite, but i'm wondering quite a bit, why there is no response to my request (see below). Isn't there anyone out there using Interbase together with Zope (via gvibDA)? Thanks, Andreas Hölzl, in medias res, Germany ------ Forwarded message ------- From: Andreas Hölzl <hoelzla(a)uni-freiburg.de> To: zope(a)zope.org Date: Thu, 13 Jun 2001 11:58:17 +0200 does anybody know how to use gvibDA with Python2.0? i untared gvibDA-0.9.6.tar.gz in the Zope-root. then i followed the steps of README. inside /lib/python/Products/gvibDA/gvib i configured Setup.in with the right path to IB and Python2.0. Then i did compiled it typing "make -f Makefile.pre.in boot" and "make". Everything went fine except the following message: read /usr/lib/python2.0/config/Setup.local /usr/lib/python2.0/config/Setup cat: /usr/lib/python2.0/config/Setup.thread: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden ("could not open") and indeed there is no "/usr/lib/python2.0/config/Setup.thread". copying all the file into the python-lib path (as in README) and starting the interpreter i got: root@ariel:~ > python Python 2.0 (#1, Mar 1 2001, 02:42:21) [GCC 2.95.2 19991024 (release)] on linux2 Type "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import gvib Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
