I don't know where your robot.txt is coming from. To the best of my knowledge, zope doesn't create one for you, and you can add your own. Building add form on the fly

I'm trying to build the add form for my product in Python rather than just read in a dtml file. However when I try to create an instance of the product, it pops up an authorization form. Typing in my username and password doesn't work and I get a user authorization error. There's something about permissions that I don't understand. So I'm asking the list for help. If index_html is a DTML Document and not a DTML Method, you will need to get out of the Document due to acquision. FS Photo product

No this is not an announcment. Rather the opposite. I believe I've heard about a version of the Photo product that saves the images on the filesystem. Am I right, is there such a product? Where? My current problem is that my Photos in zope take are so big that I have problems copying folders and can with a little pain back it all up. I bet there are advantages with storing the big binary content on the Linux instead of the ZODB. Hej hej, Peter

In a folder of my Zope site, I want to set up index_html so it will automatically list the folders that are inside it. Unfortunately, it isn't working; nothing's showing up. [DCOracle2] Problems iwth Insert

Product: DCOracle2 Alpha 6 against 8.1.7 Installation is synlinked into INSTANCE_HOME Browsing Database is OK Selecting from database is OK Inserting into dataase gives this error: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: DatabaseError Error Value: (24374, 'ORA-24374: define not done before fetch or execute and fetch') This error is explained in the oracle docs: " ORA-24374: define not done before fetch or execute and fetch Cause: The application did not define output variables for data being fetched before issuing a fetch call or invoking a fetch by specifying a non-zero row count in an execute call. Action: Issue OCI define calls for the columns to be fetched. " Also: what is the retionale for returning None instead of Null for null values? Is it more pythonesque? How to give caller acquisition path to an object through python script ?

Hi, Sorry for the previous post. It was obscure. So I'm rewording it. I's not possible to expose my problem with a simple phrase. So I'll write down an example: I got a "main" DTML method that contains: -- DTML method "main" -- ... <dtml-var "getobject(somearg)"> ... --------------------------- "getobject" is a python script that finds a Zope object (DTML method or document) depending on "somearg". -- Python script "getobject" -- # find someobject depending on "somearg" ... return someobject(context) ----------------------------- The problem is that "someobject" renders using the acquisition path of the FOLDER that contains "main" I want the "someobject" to use the acquisition path of the "main" DTML object rather than the one of it's folder. problem with netscape & url encodings

Hi I have a page at barnton.gcal.ac.uk:8080/members/ where I build a call to a dtml object as so: <a href="Chapterlisting?chapterid=&dtml-intHqId;&HqName=<dtml-var Hq_Name>"><dtml-var Hq_Name> On ie, this sends you to the Chapterlisting dtml object, with the parameter sent url encoded, as "hq+name". On netscape, I just found out it sends it as "hq name" (without the +), causing a 400 error. Is there a function I can use to force this parameter to be url encoded? hi, i should explain: the code below is in a method nav_stuff which is called from standard_header which in turn is called from an arbitrary document. when i use the getId() method, zope throws an "excessive recursion" error. any suggestions? cheers, G On 1 Jun 2001, at 13:17, E. PIL+Zope: what's wrong with this code ?

Hi, I plan to use PIL in an external method to retrieve Images from de ZODB and transform them to PIL Images. When I use the following code I've got an error which basically says: "Not enough image data" This seems to be a PIL error, not a Zope's one, but I really can't understand what the problem is, except that I don't know what mode parameter to pass to fromstring(), I've tried "1", "P", "RGB" etc... but without luck: --- CUT --- import PIL.Image # get the logo GIF Image from the ZODB # This object exists and is OK when viewed from the ZMI logo = getattr(self, "logo") imgdata = logo.data if type(imgdata) is not type('') : temp = '' while imgdata is not None : temp = temp + imgdata.data imgdata = imgdata.next imgdata = temp MyPILImage = PIL.Image.fromstring("1", (logo.width, logo.height), imgdata) --- CUT --- I'm really not sure about the two first parameters that the PIL.Image.fromstring() function need, the first one is the mode, the second is the size. Could someone with a PIL+Zope experience show me a code snippet to convert Zope Image objects (in any format) to PIL Images ? Thanks in advance.
