How does that work with ZEO? If you were to pack the ZSS ODB on the ZSS box, do you have to shut down zope on the ZSS box? How do ZEO Clients react to this? disappearing management tabs

Hi all, I've got a Python product class that has an "editData" that once changed the info in the class, has to return to the original form. I do it like this: if REQUEST is not None: return self.editForm (REQUEST, manage_tabs_message='data saved.') The problem is that when calling it this way, the editForm DTML method doesn't have the management tabs that are there when it's called directly. This dtml file has this at the beginning: <dtml-var manage_page_header> <dtml-var manage_tabs> All the <head>, css, etc. gets inserted fine, but there are no tabs. Any hint? TIA, arkaitz.

SQL Session first time load

Hi all, Is there a reason why you cannot query _ZSession on the first page access? Observe: <var header> <var contentstuff> <var footer> Header: call Session Footer use a ZSQL session that logs a pageload data including the PreciseTime as PK, and Zsession as foreign key and the page address with query string. What happens..: First time you load, you get a key error for _ZSession. To fix it: Reload page and all resumes as should. But I especially want to record the entry point for a browser... which cannot happen if only the second load can be logged. Paz

Testing if a string isn't empty

Hello, I am trying to make some dtml code that tests if a string contains text (because if the string is empty it must be set to contain 'Clipname'). Right now the code looks like this: <dtml-if expr="mc_name == ''"> <dtml-let mc_name="'Clipname'"> <dtml-call sqlAddClip> </dtml-let> </dtml-if> How do you do it - because the above doesn't work.
