Splitting a datetime string into a date string and a time string

Hello, I have a small problem: In my database I have a datetime field. Now I need to split the content of that field into a date string and a time string with these formats: date: YYYY/MM/DD time: HH:MM:SS How do I do that? Another thing: I also need to remove / : and spaces from the datetime string. How ? Problems when upgrading Zope from 2.2.2 to 2.3.2 on FreeBSD

Hi! I've experienced troubles when upgrading Zope from 2.2.2 to 2.3.2 on FreeBSD. Hi Jan, for a first shot you might want to look at the vary-tag. http://www.zope.org/Members/tino/ However, to integrate it better into Zope and solve the unicode-issue and so on, there is an effort already. Poll product

We had someone pinging our poll with an automated script. We didn't want users to have to log in before voting, but still wanted some way to keep people from hitting the vote method more than once per session. (We're using the poll product mega modified from Amos' Poll Product) We decided to throw a cookie at the users and check it when they go into the poll--on first visit it lets them vote, but then it cookies them and redirects to the results page. ZMySqlDA Error

I have just installed the ZMySqlDA 2.0.6 and mysqldb. Everything ist alright, the new Product is availible in ZOPE. But when I want to add a new connection in ZOPE I always get the Error with the Error Type: Attribute error and the Error Value: server_capabilities in db.py. MySQL runs well. What could be the problem?

Users editing properties -- howto?

Some background: I'm using Zope to create and manage an internal document library for engineers and developers. Because of the circumstances, website security isn't an issue; I don't have to require logins for users. I work in dtml only right now -- no python. I have only been doing so for a couple of weeks. I'm not a programmer. (Translation: use small words and don't assume I know how to do basic things yet!) I've been asked to implement a keyword indexing/search feature. Documents are currently represented by dtml documents, with a "keywords" property of the type "tokens". I'm listing the keywords at the top of documents, by referencing <dtml-var keywords>. I'd like for users to be able to use an "Add" feature to add a keyword to a document if they feel one is missing. That would involve an "Add keyword?" link, I guess. The result would be that the keyword property for that document would be modified. Can anyone offer suggestions/examples for doing this? Are there problems with it? (Other than the problems with keyword indexing in general, please.) Is there some more elegant way to handle this, that I, as a non-python person Zope newbie, could handle? Thanks! Zope log in too slow in local network

Hi! I'm new with Zope, I just downloaded and installed it yesterday. But I've got a problem: I installed Zope in my local network's server, which runs on Windows 2000 server, as a service; when I go to another computer, open the navigator and type http://localhost:8080/manage, I have to wait for more than a minute till it asks my username and password; after that it works fine and very fast, but I think the waiting time at the beginning is not normal and I want to fix that. I think that the problem might be that it starts finding the address in the internet, and when that fails (after a minute) it tries on the local network. How can I fix this? The server with Zope is a Windows 2000 Server, but the computer connected to the internet is a Windows 98 with a gateway installed. Thanks in advance, Igor

I do this all over the place in a python product: user = getSecurityManager().getUser() if user.has_permission('Foo', ob) This is of course the same as your sample (if the user is a normal zope user object).
