by Chris Withers 26 Apr '01

Hi, Would anyone be interested in an external method which updates all the ZCatalogs in a ZODB to use the new BTrees? Likewise for CST 0.7 to CST 0.8? I mentioned these a while back but they got bumped due to other commitments, btu they've becoem important again. If people are interested, I could make them public... cheers, Chris

Problems with 2.3.1?
by Shawn L. 26 Apr '01

26 Apr '01

Has anyone had any trouble with 2.3.1 crashing? I'm running mine on a Mandrake 7.0 i386 linux box and it seems to be crashing every couple of days. Any ideas how to fix this, or where to look for reasons as to why it would crash every few days? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Hi there, some users would like to have access statistics about each DTML-Document without creating a new FSCounter or ZCounter for each new document. Is that possible? Thank you Marcus

Using result from a sql query in another query
by Gitte Wange 26 Apr '01

Hello, I am having some problems on doing subject ... maybe I havent't understood the <dtml-in> and <dtml-with> tags properly but ... I need to do the following. First I need to find all specific clips belonging to a show. I do it like this: <dtml-in sqlGetShowClips> It returns a lot of records. Now for each record I need to find a servername in a server table and a filename in a filename table. The sqlGetShowClips returns some columns named serverid and fileid. I tried to do this: <dtml-with sqlGetServerName> <dtml-with sqlGetFilename> But it doesn't find anything. Is there a good explanation of how I "nest" these calls ??? I need the values to generate a URL Gitte

RE: [Zope-CMF] mysqlUserFolder and CMF

Hello Shane, I have it working as suggested and it picks all the members I had added using the mysqlUserFolder interface, now I have to integrate this into the CMF registration and log in form. The _addUser method, is this something I have to create or can I use the existing docNewUser form provided with mysqlUserFolder? Can you expand on this. Many thanks Norman -----Original Message----- From: shane(a)shane.digicool.com [mailto:shane@shane.digicool.com]On Behalf Of Shane Hathaway Sent: Monday, April 23, 2001 5:21 PM To: Norman Khine Subject: Re: [Zope-CMF] mysqlUserFolder and CMF Norman Khine wrote: > > Hello, > > Has anyone implemented mysqlUserFolder with CMF? Try deleting the current acl_users and replacing it with a mysqlUserFolder. Authentication should work. The new user registration process should work if mysqlUserFolder has an "_addUser" method. tom smith <tom(a)othermedia.com> writes: > Folders should be I get the results of the index_html for that > folder. That is...what the folder would look like if I was viewing it. The same is true for w3m, I think. I use it occasionally but always have to fallback to FTP because of that. Regards, Frank

Creating files on server
by Gitte Wange 26 Apr '01

26 Apr '01

Hello, I have a problem I don't know how to solve. I am about to create some SMIL-files on my RealServer. We are using Zope as an interface to our Media Portal. We have a database with all attributes in needed to create a SMIL file. Now I would like to - when a submit button is hitted - that a DTML method is called. This method should create a new file with some specifik data in. Now how do I do this ? I have installed the LocalFS but I can't see how this products writes files, except that it uploads them. I don't need to display an upload form - just write a file directly. Regards, Gitte

structured text on win32
by zope-mailinglist 26 Apr '01

26 Apr '01

hi everybody i'm new to structured text so ... my zope runs on win32, i dont know if this matters if i write a text with a normal linefeed (this differs to unix linefeeds) there is now <br> tag in the resulting page rendered with structured text also a paragraph is only created if i type 2 linefeeds this is too a problem with lists if i write """ * item1 * item2 """ the second item is not a list item its printet like the source then i tried """ * item1 * item2 """ now i get 2 list items but each list item is rendered with a <p> tag around is this the normal behaviour of structured text ?? it tried already newline_to_br , but it seems that this is applied after the structured text is applied so there are a lot of <br>s afterwords thanks in advance
