As I understood the announcement, syntax is checked and problems reported the same way as for ZMI. There is a proposal how non-standard object types can be created. I think, there is even an implementation around. Saw recently something in a mailing list (think "zope-dev"). Versions are implemented by cookies. FTP and WebDAV do not support cookies, but it would not be difficult to use the built-in product SiteAccess (more precisely, its AccessRule) to map folders to cookies; e.g. /Version/<version>/<url> would set the cookie for <version> and then access <url>. This way, it could be used easily be FTP. I am not sure about WebDAV, as it uses the source port and I am not sure whether AccessRules are executed for these traversals. But I think, there is a good chance. Dieter

Your instances are not images but collections of three images. I would expect, they derive from an Object Manager not from an Image. Dieter

ZClass / BaseClass OFS:Image

Hi I'd like to make a ZClass based on the OFS:Image Baseclass ... unfortunately I don't get it working. The basic Idee is to have a Object containing 3 Images (Thumbnail, Normal, Large) + some extra attributes like "shortdescription", "description". The object should know (in attributes) the size, high and width for all the images. Unfortunately as soon as I add the OFS:Image Baseclass I don't get a working ZClass ... And I haven't found a example with a zclass based on ZImage. All the other products I looked to (like JPicture or ActiveImage) isn't really helping. Is there anybody who can help me? I'm really desperate, cause it's bloody urgent ... Thanks a lot in advance. Kind Regards Stefan Mallepell

problem saving file twice with ange-ftp

I am using ange-ftp under GNU-emacs to edit my Zwiki Web in emacs-wiki-mode and am encountering a strange problem. If I edit a page, I can save the changes *one time only*. After that, I get an error 426 from the ftp server: Opening output file: FTP Error: "426 Error creating file.", /jdh2358(a)nitace.bsd.uchicago.edu 8021:/Wikis/April/FrontPage Mark set [2 times] If I kill the buffer and reload it, I can again make changes to it 1 time, and get the error after subsequent save attempts. External Methods nightmare

Hi, i'm new to External Methods, and i got the following prob. In folder FOLDER a got 3 method A (dtml) B (Zsql) and C ( external ) the story is that method A call method B. From zope there is no prob. with that but when i call A from C, zope complains that it can't find B. I't seems that Zope forget that it is in FOLDER. Please HELP!!! Inside methodA you should be able to call methodB like this: <dtml-call methodB> Inside methodC you should be able to call methodC like this: self.methodA() By the magic of acquisision, this should work.
