Querying ZCatalog with indexes "in OR"
by Ruberl Michele 09 Apr '01

09 Apr '01

Hi everybody, I have a ZCatalog with a lot of indexes on boolean fields. If I query it from DTML, it returns correctly the results of a query like the SQL "SELECT xxxx WHERE (A=0 AND B=0 AND C=1)" I'd like to query it from DTML, obtaining the results as from the SQL query "SELECT xxxx WHERE (A=0 OR B=0 OR C=1)" How can I get that? Or where can I find infos about that? Mik

Thanks Dieter. That did the trick. I have a folder named "file" and I believe it was latching on to that instead of the form variable named "file". > > <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('file',file)"> >This is redundant, but should not be harmful. > > <dtml-with "LocalFS_objekt_id"> > > <dtml-call "manage_upload(file, id='',action='manage_workspace')"> > > </dtml-with> > > ... > > Produces the following error... > > ============================ > > Error Type: AttributeError > > Error Value: filename > > =========================== >Strange. > >Maybe, you fetch an unexpected "file" from somewhere that >does not have a "filename" attribute. >Replace "file" by "REQUEST.form['file']" in the "manage_upload". > > >If it does not help, we need (at least) the last part >of the traceback. > > >Dieter > >_______________________________________________ >Zope maillist - Zope(a)zope.org >http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope >** No cross posts or HTML encoding! ** >(Related lists - > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-announce > http://lists.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-dev )

Getting named variables passed to DTML callable
by Phill Hugo 09 Apr '01

09 Apr '01

If there a simple way to get at the kw dict passed to a DTML callable? I need to be able to determine if a variable was passed specifically from something like... container.DTMLMethod(context, context.REQUEST, variable='Hello World') In the DTML Method I can use <dtml-var variable> but if this variable was also the name of an id in the ZODB then it'll find it there. Basically I need the equiv of <dtml-with kw only><dtml-var variable></dtml-with> ideally available as something like <dtml-var "this().kw"> or something Thanks Phill

uploading a lot of images
by dirk＠xs4all.nl 09 Apr '01

Hi all, I want to make a picture album. (see the other mail about strings). What I haven't found out yet is how I can upload a lot of images in one time. Do I have to upload them one by one? If so, probably a python script can do the trick I guess? Dirk

But one of the reasons that it doesn't is that a DTML Method > can actually impersonate a lot of things, just by having the first line > being: > > Content-type: application/x-msword I just tried that on Zope 2.3.1b1 and it doesn't work :-( That text just gets stuck at the top of the output... Any ideas? cheers, Chris

George, It sounds like you need to read the Zope book, especially the chapter on RDBMS connectivity: http://www.zope.org/Members/michel/ZB/RelationalDatabases.dtml See the section on calling ZSQL methods.
