Upgrade weirdness

I recently upgraded from Zope 2.1.1 to Zope 2.2.4 (tried 2.2.5 as well) and I'm having some weird issues. Here's what I've done: Installed Zope 2.2.4 Started using INSTANCE_HOME Installed all products Copied over Data.fs* from my old Zope directory into $INSTANCE_HOME/var. When I pull up localhost:80 (I moved the port to 80) I get an error that indicates an AttributeError and __getitem__. This also happens when I attempt to access localhost/manage. I can pull up localhost/objectname but localhost/objectname/manage hangs the browser indefinitely. I'm looking for some ideas/suggestions on how I can fix this. It seems that the Zope developers is not really interesting by a java integration - Why ? At least, ejb & servlet are well used in a lot of companies. So, a product like Zope is usefull for them if and only if it can call some requests to some java components from zope. Oops . . . I got a little too user friendly in the prior post. The array reference should be : document.form.elements[array_position].value and the function has to be called as: function el_count (g) or else you have to replace all the 'g.' names with whatever you are refering to your form_name as. Hi Zope Fans, I've been spoending too much time the last couple of days trying to come up with a clean way to solve a little problem. Some old posts that I've been perusing may be related, but that's not certain. Anyway, here goes. Well, except that I seem to be having exactly the opposite problem. When I call "REQUEST.redirect(other_url)", the REQUEST isn't destroyed, in fact all the parameters are retained, right down to the original method, so that a "get" method passes parameters appended to the URL, and a "post" method includes all the original REQUEST parameters in the header. Not what I need. All I want to do is to pipe the output of a page generation process back to the requestor (a PDF file, in this case), so that it appears to be a page being returned in response to a get, submitted with no parameters. I've also tried "REQUEST.setBase(other_url)" and just "REQUEST(other_url)" but the differences are so subtle as to be undeteactable (by me, at least), and the parameter passing confuses the browser to the point that it has no clue how to handle a garden variety PDF file, and the user has to hit "refresh" to wake it up. Actually, so far I'm just trying to do a real redirect to a real PDF file, but I feel like I need to get that working before I tackle the file generation + pipe part. Thanks for any help, Jerry S.

It is hard coded in "OFS.DTMLMethod.default_dm_html" and "OFS.DTMLDocument.default_dd_html", respectively. Of cause, you can change the code.... But, you can also go for a ZClass. Give it an "index_html" method that combines a header, the content and a footer. Let your user only be concerned with the content. Dieter

This seems a bit harsh, I can imagin the headlines, OPEN SOURCE COMUNITY BAN FREE EMAIL. Also it is worth noting that replying to this kind of stuff is not a good idea.
