Try editing z2.py and changing the field IP_ADDRESS='' to an actual IP address. just use 127.0.0.1. Also make sure you have an entry in /etc/hosts for your localhost like this: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost The default install should set this up for you. Can any zope genius verify wether what I've said makes sense or not? Does pythoin require any external resolver libraries to be installed for gethostname? hope I haven't sent you on a tangent. Trouble with multiple selection property from SQL method

Hi all, This problem has me stumped :( I'm trying to fill the fields of a multiple selection property with a database table. My SQL method looks something like: user_list_sql------------------ ------------------------------- SELECT name FROM users_tmp WHERE status = 'a' ------------------------------- So I make a multiple selection property "users" that takes user_list_sql as value. This gets me the Zope error Error Type: TypeError Error Value: 'in' or 'not in' needs sequence right argument Ok, so having succesfully used a lines property to fill the fields, I create a method that does something similar: user_list_meth----------------- ------------------------------- <dtml-in user_list_sql> <dtml-var name> </dtml-in> ------------------------------- Now I use user_list_meth as value, and get the error: Error Type: InError Error Value: Strings are not allowed as input to the in tag How do I tell the multiple select property "I'm feeding you newline separated text" or someting like that... Zope process keeps consuming memory...

Hi, I have a Zope process that is currently using rather a large amount of memory. Here's a dump of the relevant line from 'top'; load averages: 0.01, 0.39, 0.57 13:14:44 273 processes: 269 sleeping, 3 zombie, 1 on cpu CPU states: 97.0% idle, 0.2% user, 0.4% kernel, 2.4% iowait, 0.0% swap Memory: 512M real, 38M free, 610M swap in use, 686M swap free PID USERNAME THR PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME CPU COMMAND 14190 nnle 9 33 0 193M 191M sleep 23:51 0.00% python This is from a database that is 9 Megs in size. Basically, does Zope have a memory leak or something that can cause this to happen? What can I do to find out if this is the case? What can I do about it? SQLSession problem

Hi, I am stuck with Anthonys SQlSession. I followed the HowTo on Using SQLSession by Miklos, trying to avoid the typos (too many "Session"/"Sessions", Miklos :-) and got set up using Gadfly. If you only use small items, you can add/change more before the error occurs. As the definition of the SQL-Table only contains Varchars, I don't know why this happens. I just caught a bug in what I posted yesterday. If anyone downloaded my patch yesterday please download it again (I broke queries such as INSERT that don't return a result set). BTW, this patch may have resulted in a slight performance improvement for large result sets as the old db.py would convert the entire result set into a string which was then parsed back into lists again, whereas the new version doesn't. determining if a item is a character

I wish to prevent single character searches unless they are numeric.
