Evaluating DTML Tags in a string ?

Hello, here is another of my "think around too many corners" questions... I've got a zclass which has a string property called text. This string may include a <dtml-var> tag, which doesn't gets evaluated when called with <dtml-var text>. Any hints ?? I already thought about using HTMLFile and StringIO in a python base class. It's a mildly annoying "feature" - you need to put a default date - 2000/01/01 will work fine. Instances must be created with a date in that field. Accessing forms through dtml

Heres what I am trying to do... I have a form with a large number of input fields on a dtml document which passes control to a dtml method to send mail to the user informing them of their request. I don't want to have to access every form by it's name to get the data. If I could make a general method to get the data from the form and put it into an array it would be great. Is there a form object accessible by Zope? Any input you have would be great. Thanks, Dylan

Delete from edit form

I'm looking for a way to have a form that allows editing of the properties of an item (ala KM's Net News etc.), but I also want to be able to delete the item from the edit form.... SO I tried this code: <FORM action=manage_delObjects method=post> <INPUT TYPE=hidden name="ids:list" value="<dtml-var id>"> <input type=submit value="Delete Item"> </FORM> which doesn't work because the item is not found.... understandable as we're at item/edit in the case of this form, so I changed it to: <FORM action=manage_delObjects method=post> <INPUT TYPE=hidden name="ids:list" value="../<dtml-var id>"> <input type=submit value="Delete Item"> </FORM> no go here either... My Qeustion is: Is it possible to have a form (in a Zclass instance) that deletes the instance of the Zclass and if so, how! Hello! I have a loop:  How can I find the size of current batch? If, for example, there are 4 images, I want to get 4. If there are 12, and it is 2nd batch, I want to get 2. Oleg Broytmann has just coded this for an intelligent upload of static pages. This should preseve also the meta tags... My patch adds html parsing - load_site.py, while traversing files and directories, parse HTML files before uploading. <HEAD></HEAD> completely removed, <BODY> replaced with , </BODY></HTML> - with . <TITLE></TITLE> if present parsed and title beacomes Document's title. Zope for managing software projects

I'm new to Zope (but old to Python). I and several colleagues are interested in coordinating software projects among groups of contractors. We often have to work behind firewalls and must rely on HTTP. I'm wondering if anyone has built (1) Zope-based bug-tracking databases (2) Zope-based version control systems I'm vaguely aware that WebDAV is relevant, but cannot figure out if it is an internal technology for Zope, or how to apply it (webdav.zope.org seems not to respond).
