I have pages which contain the same link multiple times. Is there an obvious way to ensure that each link is defined only once? I guess I could add properties to the containing folder, but what do others do? So if I have a string property hrefFT with value http://www.ft.com/ I can refer to it multiple times inside my pages as ....href=<dtml-var hrefFT>...href=<dtml-var hrefFT> then I need only change the value of the string property to change the link everywhere. -- Robin Becker

zope and processes

hi, i have installed zope on a machine i have accessto as a non root user, and started up teh zserver. no problems so far, using 2 processes (pid's) however, when i conect to the web site from my (any) browser, the page is working fine, but a ps ux reveales zope now has 6 or 7 pid's running.. this has been seen as high as 16 so far.. its almost as though its spawning the thread to deal with the conection, then not closing it afterwards .. the system i belive is running redhat 6 .. my problem here is my account is limited to 4 processes .. and automated killing is shutting my page down very quickly. hi, I'm trying to make a product/factory that produces a dtml document with certain properties. I follow the tutorial so far, but how do I do the equivalent of: <dtml-with "manage_clone(Home,REQUEST['new_id'],REQUEST)"> with just a document? I don't see anything like manage_clone for documents in the ZQR. In other words- I have a form, that I want to generate new Documents that get their contents from their properties. -- Ethan "mindlace" Fremen webworker

No information about upgrading

Maybe this is too basic for you out there but there is no information in zope 2 distribution neither any of the docs on the zope site about upgrading from zope 1 to zope 2. creation time attribute?

There is a modification time attribute you can access using bobobase_modificatio_time().
