Disabling "Expand macros when editing"

Hi, We just recently upgraded from various installations of Zope 2.7/2.9 to Zope 2.10. The page template feature "Expand macros when editing" is causing us major headaches. It is checked on by default, and as a result, the instant we wish to view the source code of any ZPT, it has been mangled into "expanded" form before we have a chance to do anything to it. THIS IS BAD! How can we turn this feature off globally? Right now, it is flatly impossible for us to edit most of our ZPTs because the instant we even look at them they are mangled. We can't even uncheck the option without saving the mangled version. It's Catch-22 of the worst sort. Please help! --Damon Butler

apache rules with zope

I can access two directories in /var/www but not two others. I have this rule in httpd.conf before the rewrite rules for Zope: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/(usage|zusage|ead2002|asu_ead) The usage and zusage directories work, that is /usage goes to the /var/www/usage directory not looking on Zope/ZODB. Same with the zusage directory. But ead2002 and asu_ead directories give a Not Found error from Zope. The Alias and Directory tags in httpd.conf are the same for all four. The ead2002 and asu_ead directories were added after disabling SE Linux so those two are not controlled by an access control list and after disabling SE Linux I would think the others are not controlled by an access control list. The server was rebooted after disabling SELinux with the relable option checked. [root@localhost www]# ls -laZ drwxr-xr-x root root ? asu_ead drwxr-xr-x root root ? ead2002 drwxr-xr-x. webmaster webmaster system_u:object_r:httpd_sys_content_t:s0 usage drwxr-xr-x. root root unconfined_u:object_r:httpd_sys_content_t:s0 zusage There's nothing in the httpd, messages, or secure error logs. strange database read conflict error

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding a database read conflict error. I would appreciate any thoughts on this issue. I am using Zope 2.8.9.1-final, Python 2.3.7 with a ZEO server and 4 clients for 6 months now. I have noticed that the event.log is filled with read conflict errors like the one below: 2009-08-28T10:29:26 INFO ZODB.Conflict database read conflict error (oid 0x09, class Products.Transience.Transience.Increaser) at /VirtualHostBase/http/metropotam.ro:80/metropotam/VirtualHostRoot/Opera/loc4769172835-Ateneul-Roman/ (21 conflicts, of which 0 were unresolved, since startup at Thu Aug 27 15:25:02 2009) This URL of the object is http://metropotam.ro/Opera/loc4769172835-Ateneul-Roman . We have around 2000 objects of the same type and this is *the only one* that generates read conflict errors. I have tried a few things: 1. Edit object and recatalog it 2. Rename it 3. Delete object, pack database, create a new object and then rename it to keep the URL alive 4. checked the data.fs and got no errors (fstest.py) None of the above solved the problem; I still get a lot of conflicts. Is there a way to fix this? I found it very strange that I get conflicts only for this object and for no other of the same type, even in the same folder... Thank you, Dragos Chirila

Add another site’s content to Zope

Hello, I want to add the another site's content to Zope. I used that description https://weblion.psu.edu/trac/weblion/wiki/AddAnotherSitesContentToYourZope but it doesn't work with each site and in particular with www.ecocoms.com . When I try to do that with this site and choose the site language /bg or /en from the home page I get an error: "Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource.
