Add another site’s content to Zope

Hello, I want to add the another site's content to Zope. I used that description https://weblion.psu.edu/trac/weblion/wiki/AddAnotherSitesContentToYourZope but it doesn't work with each site and in particular with www.ecocoms.com . When I try to do that with this site and choose the site language /bg or /en from the home page I get an error: "Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Hi list how can do a script what return the relative parent from it self? I use virtual_hosting and because a configuration I need access to my site like http://mysite or http://192.168.1.1/mysite. Zope and wxPython interface

Hi, I need to write an application which will be based on MVC design and will have both web interface and desktop GUI based on wxPython. It is possible to write such an application as standard Zope app and use zope.interfaces package for defining wxPython GUI as other view (I hope that it's called view, I am not sure - I am new in Zope programming)? Safari basic authentication problem

Hi Safari 4.0.2 fails to send an Authorization header to the server when the user is authenticated via basic authentication. This results in all sorts of permission problems. I realise this is not a Zope problem but perhaps I can hack some temporary solution server-side to convince Safari to play along. Getting Zope code to output to event.log

To debug my code in my Zope/Plone site, I sometimes need to put logger lines into Zope/Plone code, in order to trace my way through an error traceback. I can do this easily with Plone code in the Plone Products folder: Just put in the logger line, restart Zope, run my tests, and the output appears in the Zope event.log. But when I try the same thing with native Zope code (for example, in the OFS directory), the output doesn't show up in event.log. I figure these modules have to be reinstalled or re-somethinged to get my changes activated, but I don't know how to do this. Can you help? ~ TIA ~ Ken

zc.buildout and zope2.12

Hey! I am new to the /zc.buildout /tools and python packaging. I would like to have buildout.cfg file which should look like this: [buildout] parts = zope2.12 zope_instance product1 product2 ... [zope2.12] recipe = zc.recipe.egg ... [instance] recipe = plone.recipe.zope2instance ... [product1] recipe = ? eggs = ... [product2] recipe = ? eggs = ... .... So I would like to have zc.buildout to grab zope from the net, make zope instance and put somehow [my problem] those product parts into zope instance. Do you have any suggestions or do you now some recipes or perhaps could you give any tips about installing products into instance. There is not much time so I`m asking you for a little help :) Regards, Jonas

Zope and MySQL (ZMySQLDA errors)

I apologize in advance if this is too basic of a question to ask- I've read through countless websites and list archives today, and I'm still coming up short. I'm in the process of moving a Zope 2.6.0 instance to a Zope 2.11.4 install. The app is a front end app to a MySQL database that's been running happily along for the last seven years. The problem I'm currently running into on the new server is configuring the database server connection. I've installed ZMySQLDA (though where the correct location should be is up in the air- it wants to unzip to lib/python/Products, where some people seem to think it should be, but other docs I find say it should be under Products in the instance directory. I've tried it in both locations, though. I'm running ZMySQLDA version 2.0.8. I've installed MySQL-python version 1.2.3c1. When I start the instance, I get the following error. I've searched on the "No module named ImageFile", but I haven't found anything that seems to apply. acl_users and encrypted passwords

When you encrypt your passwords in an acl_users User Folder, is there a way to check that the old password is correct?
