cookie crumbler loses form data
by Joshua Newman 24 Mar '04

24 Mar '04

I have a daily schedule on my site that uses properties to store the events. The form passes the variables to a python script which changes the properties of the page. Things work perfectly when I'm already logged in as a manager. But when I enter my site as anonymous and try to do a manager function I get redirected to the cookie crumbler's authentication page. (good so far) When I get past authentication I get to the python script with an error that says: Error Type: KeyError Error Value: 'prop' But with a url like: http://mysite.com/dailySchedule/editCalendarProperty?prop=2004%2F03%2F25&pr… When I don't try to change the properties from the python script I can see and print the variables (prop and propval) perfectly. I've tried looping through the has_items() but the managing lines in the script can't see them. I've tried passing all the variables in the header to the login page of cookie crumbler, but that fails too. Please help. Joshua

Ok, found __bobo_traverse__ but how do I return index_html (the one in the folder or higher up)? Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Bruce To: zope(a)zope.org Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2004 5:16 PM Subject: Marshalling Strings back to data type I am storing a STRING version of dictionary in db like: {'3_Professional Designation': ['Bookkeeper', 'QuickBooks Certified Pro Advisor'], '4_Products Supported': ['QuickBooks & QuickBooks Pro'], '1_QuickBooks Services': ['Software Installation', 'Software Support', 'Troubleshooting', 'Phone Consultations', 'Seminars', 'One to One Training', 'Payroll'], '2_Accounting Services': ['Bookkeeping ', 'Payroll'], '5_Platforms Supported': ['Windows']} Is there a way in Zope to type that back to a dict?

Virtual Hosting
by Ricardo Alves 24 Mar '04

24 Mar '04

hi! I have Plone2.0 site running in a Zope 2.7.0 installation (without apache). The problem is: To access the plone site, I need to write the complete path. Something like this: http://www.myzope.com/my_plone_site I tried to use Virtual Host Monster, mapping the complete path to be the root, and it works: now the plone site address is: http://www.myzope.com/ But then, I can't access the real zope 'Root Folder' in the ZMI, because de ZMI follows the VHM mapping. So, is there other way to do this, with or without VHM ? unexpected EOF while parsing
by pieter claassen 24 Mar '04

24 Mar '04

Ok, this is weird. When I try something like <dtml-var "object"> in the sarge debian distro of zope, then it does what I expect it to do i.e. return the code of the dtml method "object" rather than render it. However, the same dtml in the woody version results in a "unexpected EOF while parsing" Any comments? I would have expected that something like <dtml-var "object.document_src()"> should have worked? Stacktrace for interest

rendering images from an external product revisited
by Henny van der Linde 24 Mar '04

24 Mar '04

Hi, I have this class: class eba(Folder,SimpleItem.SimpleItem,Elem_base): "elements basis element" versie = '0.1' meta_type = 'eba' etc.... Eba can have eba_items: class Elem_base_item(ObjectManager,Implicit,Persistent,SimpleItem.SimpleItem): "Eba item" meta_type="eba_item" def __init__(self,id,kop,tekst,volgorde,auteur,status,slot,type, kopstijl,tekststijl,auto_br,datum): self.id=id self.kop=kop etc.... Users can add images to Elem_base_item through a form with with the method: def addImg(self,f_file,REQUEST=None): "voegt een afbeelding toe" self.manage_addImage('afbeelding',title='afbeelding',file=f_file) self._p_changed = 1 if REQUEST is not None: return self.editItemForm(REQUEST, manage_tabs_message='Afbeelding is toegevoegd' The indentation got a bit lost in copy/paste but this works all very well. I have this method wich returns all the eba_items: def listItems(self): "maakt lijst van items" orde=self.items.keys() lijst=[] for i in orde: lijst.append(self.items[str(i)]) return lijst The index_html for the product has the folowing DTML: <dtml-in "listItems()" sort="volgorde"> <tr><td class="<dtml-var kopstijl>"> <dtml-var kop> </td></tr> <tr><td class="<dtml-var tekststijl>"> <dtml-if afbeelding> <dtml-var "afbeelding.tag(align='left')"> </dtml-if> <dtml-var tekst newline_to_br> <dtml-if> </td></tr> </dtml-in> Kop and tekst wicht are properties of an eba_item are rendered perfectly. Afbeelding wich is the image wich a user can add not. Strange MailHost/smtplib problem ...
by Jean-Francois.Doyon＠CCRS.NRCan.gc.ca 24 Mar '04

24 Mar '04

Hello, I'm using 2.7/2.3.3 on RH7.3 ... I have a previous version of my site on 2.6.4/2.1.3 on the same server running fine as well. The MailHost on the old one works fine, using a DTML document and the <dtml-sendmail> tag ... On 2.7 however, I keep getting a "111, Connection Refused", with the EXACT same setup. Using tcpdump I've tracked it down to the fact that under 2.7, even though I have a valid SMTP server and port specified, smtplib seems to insist on using localhost for the outgoing connection, and for the SMTP server (i.e. it tries to connect local to local, which isn't at all what I want or specified). Under 2.6.4, it works fine, the SMTP packet traffic shows up on the expected interfaces and the mail gets out fine. A quick look at the MailHost.py code doesn't bring up any obvious problems ... Anybody else run into anything like this ? create HTML mail with inline image using MIMETools
by Christoph Landwehr 24 Mar '04

24 Mar '04

Hi, I need to create a HTML mail (yes, I kow ...) with an embedded image within Zope and send it using sendmail. To be able to set the Content-ID, I use version 1.12 of the MIMITools (http://cvs.zope.org/Products/MIMETools/MIMETag.py) However I get stuck because I can not set the boundary string within the <dtml-mime> tag. A random boundary is generated by the <dtml-boundary> tag but I need to know the boundary string to set it in the mail header. What I did: <dtml-sendmail mailhost="MailHost"> From: foo(a)bar.xy To: foo(a)bar.xy Date: Mon, 22 Mar 2004 16:25:03 +0100 Subject: html with image MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/related; boundary="----=_NextPart_000_1.0000" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_1.0000 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_NextPart_000_2.0000" ------=_NextPart_000_2.0000 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD><TITLE></TITLE></HEAD> <BODY> <P>Hello World</P> <br> <IMG src=3D"cid:123@456"> </BODY> </HTML> ------=_NextPart_000_2.0000-- <dtml-mime> <dtml-boundary type="image/gif" filename="my_image.gif" encode="base64" cid="123@456" > <dtml-var "test_gif"> </dtml-mime> ------=_NextPart_000_1.0000-- Has anyone succesfully created HTML mails with embedded images using <dtml-mime>?
