I've added a fix that seems to do the trick in my test area - can you try the following and let me know if this takes care of your problem?: In the file lib/python/Shared/DC/ZRDB/DA.py, add the line: Globals.default__class_init__(DA) ...right after the definition of the DA class, and do a restart. Problem with date format

Hi everybody, it seems that zope is a bit hard with me about date formatting. I am using Zope 1.10.3 and Mysql, and trying to make some date format on a date field on a query result. I am obviously being really dumb. Can you help me ? Thanks. ZPygreSQL woes

I've run into a problem with Zope with PostgreSQL. The query runs and runs and runs till all the memory on the server is used up and Zope falls over. Everything works fine on a small table but comes apart as the number of fields in a table increases. For example, the table that I'm trying to query has 18 fields. I'm running postgresql-6.4.2, the ZPygreSQLDA is straight off of the Zope site. I've tried Zope versions from 1.10 all the way up through 2.0.0b1. Has anyone else had this problem? This is a very serious issue for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated if I'm doing something wrong.

new dtml syntax - is it going to stay?

Hi, Jim mentioned the new DTML syntax as being experimental (it's in the Zope2.0 series). Is it going to stay along with 'Zope Classic' syntax? For Zopistas that don't know, the Zope 2.0 series has an interesting new tag - dtml ie 'Zope Classic'   , <br>  becomes <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-in "[1,2,3,4]"> <dtml-var sequence-item>, &someboilerplate;<br> </dtml-in> tres cool no? tone.

Well, you can do this: <textarea></textarea> which essentially escapes the HTML so it can be edited. If you simply want the hard breaks as you described, <textarea></textarea> does this, but it does not escape the HTML. Combining these is meaningless. If you want to convert special characters and International characters to HTML character-reference entities (eg., è or "), what's the point? Dear, I trying to make a small editor with Zope. People can write a small comment in a <textarea> within a <form>. The problem is how to transform the text in the form to real <HTML>. Examples are the french accent &egrave etc. And the Hard Return that becomes a <p>. My Question has somebody written some Regular expression in python That do this translation into real HTML??? Read through the DTML User's Guide. Remember that  really means  and that  really means  If you write something like , this is a Python expression meaning "the value of the variable 'sequence' minus the value of the variable 'item'".
