It turns out -- and until I hear anything else, I chalk this up as a bug -- that if you rescind all permissions from the "Manager" role, Zope will behave like described below. Try it -- it's weird. The behaviour is slightly different under beta 1, but still not correct. >From what I understood, when I import an XML document the product is supposed to parse it into a tree based on the tags, but all I seem to get is a page that appears identical to a DTML document or method. That is, all I can do is edit it as a text file. What exactly am I missing? I'd look at the Example.bbe referenced in the download page but I don't seem to have it. I have a Sybase database which I can access through isql, MSAccess, Sybase Central etc. When I tried to access it using the ZSybaseDA using the connection string in the form [dbusername] [password] [machinename] [databasename] I get an error saying "Invalid connection string:". Any other suggestions. Jens, doh! Here's the FS which may need other stuff. The install for Zope2Beta1 was painless, so that's probably (at this point) the easier way to upgrade (and get the latest :-). Q: Zope2 version of "Contributions/DTML Example Folder"?

Hi, I'm interested in coming up to speed with DTML and noticed a useful looking "DTML Example Folder". Unfortunately, Zope2 won't let me import the "export.bbe" file (I tried via the export/import management tab). Does anyone have a Zope2 ready version of that file or a pointer on how to import it? ZCatalog and tokens properties

I just posted this to Collector, but am not sure it's a bug. Sure seems like it though. Suggestions? (using 2.0 beta1) If I have ZClasses with properties like this: instance menu (tokens) A spam B spam eggs C spam eggs toast D spam eggs potatos I can ZCatalog these objects and add 'menu' as a field index. When I call cat.uniqueValuesFor('menu') I would expect it to return: ['spam','eggs','toast','potatos'] not what it does, which is: [ ['spam','eggs'], ['spam','eggs','toast'], ['spam','eggs','potatos'] ] Is this a bug? Hello, If I were to start out designing something like the Zippy package, my first thought would be to enter Zippy's various quotes into a database like MySQL and go from there. It looks like this might not be the best design choice. Can someone describe when it is best to use an external database instead of Zope's(python's) internal persistance? How many Zippy one-liners would there need to be to justify using an external data source? Is it just the size that would necessitate a switch (assuming a single table source - non-relational)?
