Hi, Brendon Assuming I am seeing your site right and your folders look something like the following: / /News /Messages /Chat /Chat/My_Chat Presuming you want something in your /News SquishDot or /Messages Folder to say something about My_Chat, something like the following should work: <dtml-with Chat> <dtml-with My_Chat> <dtml-with "objectItems('ChatItem')[-1]"> <dtml-if "(ZopeTime() - 5.0/60.0/24.0) < _['bobobase_modification_time']"> <dtml-var chat_going_img> <dtml-else> <dtml-var chat_not_going_img> </dtml-if> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> What it does, following the statements in order: go to the Chat folder (using 'with' you can get there from News or Messages) go to My_Chat in the Chat folder ('with' gets you there from Chat) go the last ChatItem object (I think they are already in chronological order) This uses the [-1] python trick to get the last item of a list. if the object's current datetime minus 5m/60m/24h is earlier than the mod time (using 'ugly' syntax around bobo..time because it works), show the chat_is_going image else show the chat_not_going image then close all the above tags This could be optimized a bit. That will be left as an exercise for the reader... Hope this helps. This release fixes a significant bug in local nt domain determination to upgrade, delete the old nt user folder, install the new product, restart zope and create the new user folder Still no doc, you have to read the source to understand the product. Hi Brian, I had a look at the Collector. I think the issue is logged under: "Zope Bug: 'id' bug whuen using DTML Method as ZClass Base Class" (Item # 45 in <http://classic.zope.org:8080/Collector/tableBrowse?batch_size=20&cfDescAndT itle=ID&Category%3Alist=DTML&Category%3Alist=General&query_start=41>) The status is "under review". List of howtos and howto compilation

Hello Zopists, - I put together a printer-friendly list of all available Zope howtos. It lists all howtos and specify URL and title. Thus you can print it out and still know what is the URL to a specific Howto. Sorted by title: <http://www.zope.org/Members/AlexR/all_howtos_alpha?pp=1> Sorted by date: <http://www.zope.org/Members/AlexR/all_howtos_date?pp=1> - Based on this list I compiled all Zope howtos into a large PDF. This makes it easier to download and print out all howtos. You can download it here <http://www.zope.org/Members/AlexR/All-Zope-Howtos.zip> (1MB, Acrobat Reader 4 needed). This is version 0.1, last updated on 2000/01/16. Please note this is a test. DCOracle Large Objects

Hello! Anyone can help with Oracle LOBs and stored procs? I want to create a LOB in a database. DB programmer created a stored procedure for me, but when I call it, passing data as Python string (1028 is some ID): cursor.callproc("add_image", [1028, "This is the body of my Large Object"]) I got an error. Hi! I investigated some more on the find problem and think that the Find Items option in ZCatalog is broken. How can I persist some simple data?

I am trying to create a product that will grab all of the weather information from a weather site and return it to the document so I can render it with a DTML method. I have an extension method that is invoked with <dtml-var "download_weather(this())">. The definition of download_weather (slightly stripped down) is as follows: def download_weather(loc): city = capitalize(lower(loc.city)) state = upper(loc.state) # Download HTML and strip excessive formatting. data = urllib.urlopen(url).read() # Grab the current conditions. loc.current = get_current_conditions(data) # Grab the extended forecast. loc.forecast = get_extended_forecast(data) The weather object "loc" has a city and state property which is used to create the proper URL. get_current_conditions and get_extended_forecast both return simple classes similar to the following: class Current: def __init__(self,temperature,image,conditions): self.temperature = temperature self.image = image self.conditions = conditions The problem comes when setting the loc.current and loc.forecast attributes. They seem to do what they are supposed to when viewing the output in the management screens, but as soon as I view the output outside of the management screen I get the following error: Error Type: SystemError Error Value: Failed to import class Current from module __main__ In addition to that, the weather object turns into a Folder object which can't be modified or deleted. Hey all, Our site is experiencing a peculiar side effect. As a person navigates the site, the URL in their location box keeps growing, it contains a "history" of where they have been. Any ideas on how to fix this? DR
