Calling dtml method from external method

Hi All, I need to access an external method via a URL which, in turn calls a DTML method with a list of arguments and I can't seem to figure out how. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Phil C

dtml methods and dictionaries

I need to write a dtml method which calls an external method, which returns a dictionary, and have the dtml method lookup and use keys and values from the dictionary. Is this even possible? If so how? I am completely stuck! I would really appreciate any help with this. Thanks. Phil C

problem creating ZClasses inside ZClasses

Hi there, I know we had this thread already a few weeks ago - and a possible solution to my problem: When I try to create a ZClass inside another existing ZClass, the inner ZClass does not show up in the global product add-list. And also the inner ZClass does not appear in the list of possible subobjects. (The Zope developers guide tells me it should automatically). I searched the mailing list at eGroups, but I was not able to find the thread. Does anybody remember this discussion or he name of the thread? Thanks in advance, Andy Pahne ap(a)net22.net

mod_pcgi2 version 1.0.0

Hello! After some period of testing, after getting few success stories I changed the module version to 1.0.0! Welcome here: http://www.zope.org/Members/phd/mod_pcgi2 Almost nothing have changed since version 0.4.0. I made some cosmetic changes, but there are few of them. If you are running 0.4.0, you don't need to upgrade. I've tested the module on pentium linux and sparc solaris, in DSO (shared apache) and non-DSO (static, all apache modules compiled in). The only test I didnt tried is uploading huge binary file via PCGI. I am freezing my work on the module for some period (or until I got a bug report). It seems I don't need new features, entire PCGI protocol is implemented, and the module is well tested, debugged and now is used on a few sites (I have no URLs of other sites, only my URLs). The next thing to implement will be autoconf/configure to make installation simpler; after some period I hope to return to work on it. Logging under Apache/pcgi?

Enabling logging under ZServer is simple enough and fully documented in the doc/LOGGING.txt file. Where does one set the STUPID_FILE_LOGGER environment variable when running with pcgi under Apache? Do you simply set it in the Zope.cgi script? Cheers, Darran.

Is it an error?

Hi! Every time I am logging in, I got a page http://www.zope.org/logged_in.html with "Tip of the day" on the right. There are links in these tips, but I've never saw these links working. Is it problem with Zope? my browser (different versions of netscape)? What sort of thing is it that you want to catalog? What do you want to do with it once it's cataloged? I think it's safe to say that many people have implemented various online catalogs in Zope (heck, http://www.zope.org/Products/ could be considered a catalog, and that's probably implemented in Zope :) You might like to look at http://www.zope.org/Members/anthony/sql_vs_ZODB to start you thinking about where you want to store your data. MySQL does not currently support UNION; it is on their to do list. You'll have to "fake" it somehow, maybe by doing a select on both tables and putting the result into a master list, or by settling for selecting the two in separate columns (select tableofitemsoftype1.brand AS brand1, tableofitemsoftype2.brand AS brand2 ...) and then put the results into a master list.
