Apache 502 proxy error

Hi folks, I'm running apache with Zope and I am now getting a 502 error very often each time I try to make changes through the manage screens. I get the following exact message: ************************************* The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request POST /frontpage/zindex2/manage_edit. Reason: Error reading from remote server Apache/1.3.6 Server at www.51go.com Port 80 ************************************** Has anyone gotten this kind of error before? Any ideas as to where it comes from. The weird thing is that IF I am persistent and submit the form a few times, it eventually accepts the changes. Thanks for any help, Tom

worldpilot and OSes error

hi all, installed world pilot on my zope 2.1.3 went to login form, tried to login but got OSes error. i'm using rh6.1, wu imap 4.6-3 when i looked at the rh error message, it said command stream end of file, while reading line user=kdie host=[203.106.2.201] is there something i missed? sho me da docs, pointers, etc tia ------------------------------------------------------ http://www.kedai.com.my/kk Am I Evil?

images on windows zope server

Hi, I installed zope 2.1.4 on windows NT Server. There were no problems with installation. I installed a product that was developed within zope 2.1.3 on a linux box. The product worked fine under zope on linux, however, Zope on windows does not server any of the images properly. It seems tructate each image such that netscape only displays the first few rows of the images. All the management screens work fine however, and adding an image to a zope folder and then displaying it from netscape works fine. Is there something wrong with my product code? terry

WorldPilot and MS-exchange

I evaluate WorldPilot with an MSexchange as IMAP-server. I could logon to WP, and could read my INBOX. Zope won't run on Win2000?

Hi all - I've been running Zope (2.1.4) for a while on NT4sp6 as a service. After installing Windows 2000 Professional a fresh install of Zope won't run. It shows as a service that should start automatically, but it doesn't start even after rebooting. Trying to start the service manually returns an unknown error according to Windows. The install of Zope itself seemed to occur without error. Anyone have any ideas? Are others running Zope on w2k? Thanks Michael Simcich AccessTools

Missing content_type

Hi All. I am uploading files not using the management-interface but extra defined forms. <form action="upload" enctype="multipart/form-data" method=post> [bla bla] </form> Ok. Then I call the "object_add(_.None,_, NoRedir=1)" method which adds the object. a) I have to call "manage_editProperties(REQUEST)" in order to set the title-property b) after I do this, the "content_type" property is empty. How is this? I am using Zope2.1.2, Linux/intel and Win32 Thanks for your help, regards Ingo.

Anyone heard of or used a bug/defect tracking system which would allow people to report defects via a website and developers to comment on them. I have an idea there is one which integrates with cvs, but I'm having trouble tracking it down. Regards, Ray Thompson

Selection lists forgetting items

Ok, now I see what you mean about Zope sending you back to its 'default' view after you update an instance with your new Propery Sheet Interface. I'm now trying to implement what you've found out. Meanwhile, how about a quick question on selection lists? I've looked at the Howto, but it doesn't work like it should. I've created an attribute of type lines in my PropertySheet. It contains two lines: Open and Closed. First, creating a new instance you select which of the choices you want. Then, later.... I want a pop-up selection on my custom Propery Sheet View that allows you to change between these values. It works the first time, but 'loses' the non-selected value when I come back to switch it again. <select name="status:lines"> <dtml-in status> <option value="<dtml-var sequence-item>"> <dtml-var sequence-item> </option> </dtml-in> </select> I guess that makes some sense. What I need then is for the sequence-item to point back _not_ to this instance, but to my propertSheet which has BOTH values all the time. I have a DTMLMethod named foo. I can access this method by using the following statement: <dtml-var foo> If I wanted to use the "quoted" syntax to access this method (perhaps because it resides in some other folder) which of the following is exactly equivalent to the statement above: <dtml-var "foo()"> or <dtml-var "foo(_.None, _)"> or neither?
