How use cgi's and php3 with Zope? I have one machine with Zope Server in port 80 And i am importing this pages with one page.php3 -> <? $subpage=getenv('URI_REQUEST') ; include "http://Zope.somehost/$subpage" ; ?> in another machine with Apache in port 80. Then my DocumentRoot is-> DocumentRoot /home/httpd/html/index.php3 There is one easier way to do this? Hi, I'm doing a form that need to store the information that is inputed. I'm trying to use the TinyTables, but I can't send the content od the form fields to tinytables, trying to use Z SQL Method, but I can't create the table its always giving me errors and I would like to know if is there another way to store the form information? Allowing users to create class-instances

Hi Zopistas! I'm very new to the material and I have the following question: I created my own ZClass, a child of "Folder". I want to allow my users to create new instances of this folders, but they shouldn't need to go to the manage-area. Sorry for the repost, but having Zope out of action for a couple of days has been a bummer... >>>>>>>>> I've been running Zope (2.1.4) for a while on NT4sp6 as a service. Zopistas, I'm trying to get all the manage pages to be secure through Roxen. I have implemented a rewrite rule ( ^/(.*)manage(.*) https://foo.net/$1manage$2 ) that will, for example, secure */manage_main. However, all the links are http:// instead of https://, so with one click you're insecure again. It would seem that something like the Access Rule + Site Root would be appropriate. Indeed, if I use a Access Rule with a base of https://foo.net, the manage pages do indeed work securely. However, then *everything* including the public pages are rendered securely, which is overhead I'd rather avoid. Basically, I need to alter generated url's based on a regexp, not a prefix. Alternatively, I need to alter all the management code so it generates https:// links instead of http:// links. (and whatever method I use has to work for many SiteRoots, i.e. many virtual hosts) I've been poking around in both SiteAccess and lib/python/App/Management to see what I could modify, but have thus far come up dry. I've noticed that, when editing DTML via an XEmacs ftp client, proxies are removed when you save the file. This doesn't seem to happen if I use a normal ftp client. What's up with calling DTML methods with arguments?

Scenario: I have a GUF based authentication system that uses a SQL database to store user profiles. The primary key of the user table is a serial number, so my users can change there username anytime without throwing the tables into a mess, but usernames are otherwise used as a unique ID for a user, so I need to do a name to user_id lookup before doing most queries. I've also got it set up to handle different password hash methods so I can migrate to a new one if the present one sucks - to make this easy I've got a DTML method called encodePassword that takes a password and the (typically acquired) pwd_format property and gets the appropriate external method to turn it into the password hash. So in my password change report I want to do something like this: (name and new_password arrive from the request, pwd_format is an acquired default) <dtml-call "sql_change_password( user_id=sql_get_user_id(name=name), password=encodePassword(password=new_password), pwd_format=pwd_format )"> But I can't because Zope throws a fit about infinite recursion. Bummer. Ok, how about this: <dtml-let password="encodePassword(password=new_password)" user_id="sql_get_user_id(name=name)"> <dtml-call "sql_change_password( user_id=user_id, password=password, pwd_format=pwd_format)"> </dtml-let> That doesn't work either. It seems that when I pass arguments to the method encodePassword, it ceases to acquire anything else from the environment, including my default pwd_format value, and all the external methods that live in the same folder. This is a pain. No arguments, it acquires, give it arguments, it doesn't. If I wanted it to not acquire things from the environment I'd use the <dtml-with ... only> container, but someone has made that call it seems. So how do I supply a method with an argument and tell it to look in it's folder for other properties and methods to acquire? Am I forever doomed to wrap annoying <dtml-let> containers around all of the methods that I want to acquire properties from the rest of Zope? John.
