I get this error: Error Type: NameError Error Value: RESPONSE I'm actually trying to do this in an Access Rule to be used along with a VHM (much thanks to Evan for helping me get that set up). tree structure in zope

Hi, Kindly may i know when a tree gets expanded in zope does it rebuild from root (starting position) or it gets rebuild from the place it gets expanded. Thanks, jacintha

Adding users and changing their passwords are the only things super can does. Hi; I've had to re-install Zope and now I can't add users! I'm stuck with the superuser account which means I can't do anything! Arrgggghhh!!!! Wazzup? BenO

ProxyVia patch

Quick question... Is the ProxyVia patch shown on page... http://www.zope.org/Members/unfo/apache_zserver_ssl ...a change to ProxyVia in Apache, or is it to add ProxyVia to some old version of Apache which didn't have it already? I have Apache on a Cobalt server and don't fancy re-compiling it. I have ProxyVia turned on but ZWiki doesn't completely work (Zope 2.3). Do I need to apply this patch to fix it? What would happen if I didn't? I know that's a few questions but if anyone can answer even one of them I would be most grateful. Regards, Simon.

Hi all, I'd like input on a proposal to standardize a little more on product distribution and packaging at http://dev.zope.org/Wikis/DevSite/Proposals/FinishedProductGuidelines. The idea is to come up with a set of packaging and documentation guidelines intended to be followed by product developers in order to provide a better user experience to people attempting to locate products and use products they get from Zope.org.

WebDAV directory browsing

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to disable directory browsing through WebDAV. When using IE5's web folder support, and connecting to the Zope server, I am able to view all of the objects in the root folder and down (Control Panel, etc...). This doesn't happen with a standard http request, where I'll either be served the index_html object, or get a resource not found error if there is none. If I try to create folders or copy files from a local system to the Zope server via WebDAV, I am asked for a password, so that seems to work fine. Using a Postgres database

A user of my Zope site I'm developing for work needs access through Zope to a postgres database. I poked around in the helpfiles a bit but haven't been able to find anything that will tell me how to do this. I gather I have to add a source so that when I 'Add a Z Gadfly Database Connection' I can see it. I don't know where to start though. Any help would be appreciated, even if it is as simple as pointing me to the right documentation. Cheers, Kit
