PythonMethods with Zope 2.2.5

Hi, I am trying to create a pythonmethod. Basicly I want to do some SQL and then return the sql. I wish to pass through the name of the function I wish to call in a variable to the pythonmethod I assumed it would be something like, querystring='SQL_get_something' query=getattr(self,SQL_get_something) query(varnametosql='A-C') # A-C being a range value I use for a regex. I read in a previous mail that getattr is not valid for security reasons, so what am I supposed to use to get this functionality. BTW would this be called like <dtml-var pmethod(self,arg...)>?

LoginManager fails WebDav's PUT action

Hi, I have a folder, which has an user folder instantiated from LoginManager. I can browse this folder in IE through WebDav, but I can't put anything in it, nor even the superuser. If I switch to a normal user folder, it works find then. Is LoginManager incompatible with WebDav? Any work-around? Cheers Dirksen __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? LocalFS and properties

Hello, I tried to add some properties to a LocalFS object with the following code but it didn't work (no properties set), but no error message, too. <dtml-call "rafiles[new_id].manage_addProperty('description', desc, 'string')"> now when I try the management interface and go to the properties tab I can add a new property which also doesn't show up afterwards. I am using Zope 2.3.0 again. Is this a problem with LocalFS and Zope 2.3 or a normal limitation to LocalFS? thanks Oliver

Forking a dtml-call

I'm using dtml-call to make a call to a ZSQL Method that reindexes a mySQL database. In most cases this works fine but a few of the ZSQL Methods take so long to complete that the browser times out. Images in database

Going from Zope 2.1.6 to 2.3.0: security issue

We are in the process of moving from Zope 2.1.6 to Zope 2.3.0 We had some web pages that we wanted to restrict to people just at our research lab. We did this by creating a role called "localUsers". And then we added a user with a domain of *.parc.xerox.com that had the role of localUsers. This allowed anyone whose web browser was on a machine in *.parc.xerox.com to access the pages. This worked great in 2.1.6. When we brought up Zope 2.3.0 we find that we get prompted for an id and password when accessing web page that have our role localUsers applied to them. We can tell the user what to type, but it is annoying. What's the best way to restrict a set of pages to a particular domain without having to require the user to login? Thanks.
