I am rewriting a website, it used matts free e-commerce to do the cart stuff. when I click on my 'buy now' link the following appears in the URL fields of the browser: http://www.aitsafe.com/cf/add.cfm?userid=3594172&product=Capital%20ills,%20D K%20in%20DC&price=5&units=1&return=www.videonetwork.org/cd/catalogue.html Zope generates http://www.aitsafe.com/cf/add.cfm?userid=3594172&product=Capital ills, DK in DC&price=5&units=1&return=www.videonetwork.org/cd/catalogue.html To set zope to generate the same stuff I think I need a function but not sure how to implement. A little help on path namespace

I have this folder structure: folder0.folder1.folder2.folder3.object1 and I want to call within object1, properties from an object0 located at folder1 (within the tree). I know that something like this would work: <dtml-with "folder1.object0"> <dtml-var anyproperty> </dtml-with> But I would like to find an "automatic" way, for wich I don't have to write the "folder.object0" thing, because the code will be used in a product, and it must be able to be used at any folder level. Is there a Python or DTML function that could locate the current object within the tree, and then look backwards for another object? (I haven't find it so far). Any other ideas if not? Dynamic charts from Zope objects

This is a long shot... I want to use Zope (and some back end logic using python methods) to calculate and display a series of future events based upon some arbitrary start date. This is done for several disparate start dates for several different test cases (having different future events). I.e., for a given start date of the "parent" case, all of the event dates (and their dollar values) of the "child" events will be displayed on a timeline. Is there some product or method that I can use to generate timelines (i.e., money vs. time) dynamically based upon user-defined start dates? Thanks for your help. Ron ./.

Thanks everyone. I downloaded and installed the full 1.5.2 python source. Configured it with --with-thread. In order to get the Makefile.pre.in to work I had to run it as follows.. # make -f Makefile.pre.in Makefile VERSION=1.5 installdir=/usr/local I'm now a happy guy, kinda... I've had the exact same problem with DCOracle. There, we just compiled the module with a non-zope full python distribution and used the object files generated within Zope. It works, but I suspect it causes problems. A real solution, probably, is to move to a source (rather than binary) Zope distribution. We haven't gotten around to it yet. Hope this helps, Shai.

In explanation of Ryan's response: ZSQL methods understand only named arguments. It should be <dtml-in "getVideoSQL(<arg-name>=pCode)"> where <arg-name> should be replaced by the name getVideoSQL expects. Arguments passed by place are simply not recognized.
