Your code wants to write (probably) a file "988374611_714.txt" and the process has not the appropriate OS rights to do that. You can do that programmatically: class C...: ... for image in (<your list of image names; of cause you need to name them>): setattr(C,image,ImageFile('img/%s' % image, globals())) This will get rid of your second problem, too: dot's in names. File storage question.

greetings! I'm really new to Zope, although I've been reading up on it and following it for over a year. Just never had too much time to really sit down and start using/playing with it -- until now. Here's my question... I'm running Zope (latest stable build) on my WinNT 4 workstation and have installed the CMF 1.0 stuff already. I haven't been able to find this answer in the documentation yet (still reading though) but where are the files (ie images, html, etc) stored for my webserver? For instance in Apache you have your htdocs directory, in IIS you have your wwwroot directory, where is it on Zope? Or are all the files stored in the Zope DB? Reason I'm asking is that I removed the default zope page (index_html) and want to create a new (index) page with my info but since I removed the index_html file I get a 404 error basically. I created a sub directory (http://localhost/coolness) and had to name the main file index_html. Is the _ the default? Can I rename the file index.htm or default.htm? Thanks. About publishing image files in python product

I'm writing a python product, which will publish a lot of image files as class attributes. 2 problems arose: 1. All image files have to be manually declared as class attributes in the python class file, which is a tedius job. 2. The declaration mentioned above doesn't allow dot in the attribute name (it may be my ignorance), so 'toolbar.gif' has to be renamed to 'toolbar_gif'. I sort of found a work-around by overriding __getitem__, like this: def __getitem__(self, name): return ImageFile('img/%s' % name, globals()) It solves the problem. But after the excitement subsided, I started to wonder why DC doesn't do that in the first place. Can anyone tell whether there's a huge performance trade-off? Newbie: Some error message help please

OK I have noe decided to go for MySql as Postgres is too complex to set up for now with the system that I have. I am using the mysqlUserFolder-0.5.3. I have created a Role 'Manager' and I two users. However when I go to view the user I get the message which I don't understand: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: class RoleManager has no attribute '__call__' Any help appreciated. Thanks Neil Blue

Service NT INSTANCE_HOME

Hi, The very good Howto at "http://www.zope.org/Members/4am/instancehome" describe a nice solution to start Zope with an another INSTANCE_HOME . However, this solution don't seem effective with the Zope NT service : If you create a INSTANCE_HOME with var, Extensions, import, Products, access entities, and you declare INSTANCE_HOME in start.bat, Zope find correctly your INSTANCE_HOME when you manually run start.bat. But if you start Zope with a service it does not work even if you change the string INSTANCE_HOME in the NT register ? Is there a solution to use an another INSTANCE_HOME and start zope with a service ? FR

Logout wie beim Manage Fenster

Es muss doch eine vernuenftiege Moeglichkeit geben, einen User, der sich in einen Ordner (der nur ueber Managerzugriffe erreichbar ist) eingeloggt hat, wieder ausloggen zu koennen. Ich hab da jetzt einiges durchstoebert: <dtml-raise unauthorized> <dtml-call "REQUEST['RESPONSE'].expireCookie('__ac', path='/', domain='.zope.org')"> und anderes. Da steht einiges von Cookies und so aber ich will doch nur einen selben effekt erziehlen, wie es das Manage_interface tut, wenn ich dort auf logout clicke.
