How to get Zope link to local hard disk contents?

A very simple question I think? When I first installed Zope, the localhost:8080 link takes me to the Zope Quick Start dtml with whole hip of links . How do I just put links on *this* dtml that shows some of the files on my hard disk: i.e. Zope installed and running from C:/program files/Zope/ and I want to be able to view the files on C:/docs/*.doc or C:/img/*.jpg from this first index html? thanks __________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape Webmail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com/

How to find objects in zope and send it thru mail, when you know path

Hai Friends, I want to add a link like "Email this page to Friend" in all my news item pages. For this i will be having link like this http://192.9.200.90:8080/cmfsite/sendToFriend?article=http://192.9.200.90:8… In the sendToFriend i have (just for checking) <dtml-sendmail mailhost="mailhost"> to: dhanunjaya(a)mindscapecomputing.com from: dhanu subject: mail testing <dtml-mime type="text/html"> <dtml-var article > </dtml-mime> </dtml-sendmail> Now when i send mail by clicking the link (iam sending my self for debugging) iam gettting only link but not the page. the problem is with <dtml-mime type="text/html"> <dtml-var article > </dtml-mime> ....................... I want to know to get hold of zope object and display its content with <dtml-var article>, when you know the path of the object. i tried <dtml-var "_.get(article)"> but still it is giving problem. ................................ Suddenly I cannot add new objects

I have a zClass 'maal' with the following properties: title string language "dk uk" selection format string description text The system has been running for a while now, and it has worked nicely. Probably I have made some changes that has subtely destroyed something, or it is some kind of problem with Catalog. I can still read all the 'maal' objects that I have added earlier, but I cannot add new ones. strange 'print' behavior in Python Scripts

I'm running into problems because Zope is printing a space (" ") at the beginning of each line when 'print'ing from a Python Script. I'm trying to print out XML to a Java Applet and the Applet isn't smart enough to take this into account. Bad parser, but Zope shouldn't be doing this anyway. NotSupportedError during ZMySQLDA Installation

Hi All, I am getting the following error while trying to install the ZMySQLDA on Zope. If your running Zope on Windows the ZJetDA is almost trivial to use. http://www.zope.org/Members/jfarr/Products/ZJetDA Unfortunatly, I also wish to run Zope on Linux and still access file in MsAccess on Netware. The ncpfs access is no problem and hope someone has some good luck with ODBC. User properties in DB with LoginManager?

Is there a straightforward way of implementing this? I'd like to be able to set/get properties for a user in the database (PostgreSQL), much as exUserFolder does. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the numerous components to the LoginManager (or ZPatterns, I suppose), and I get the feeling that there is something in there that does this, but I'm at a loss as to where to begin. Hi I would like to extract the complete filepath of a file I upload with <input type=file name="my_file" ...> HTML-element from dtml the only thing I can get right now is the filename (e.g. REQUEST['my_file'].filename) thank you in advance
