Yep, the docs still need some work, but part of the difficultie lies in finding the right doc. That's why we have the mailing list collective :) Also, on the subject of live editing, did versions croak? I thought you could use them to avoid editing a live site. Maybe he means using versions inside Squishdot or zwiki -- anybody know if this works? By saying the site isn't CVS'd, he means that he doesn't have a history of changes to the site. Obviously he hasn't seen the history tab -- it rocks! Zope isn't well documented. The thing about live editing (but using CMF you have some moderators accepting the content - but maybe this isn't what he means?) Nope, sorry... I ALWAYS make sure they are SYSTEM DSNs that get created. You want to be using a "system" DSN, but usually it's "user" connections that get set up. If your Access DSN is not a "system" type, create one and test that. Set it up when you are logged in as Administrator. I bet it will work. Let us know how it works out, please. How to Replicate Zope?

Hi, We have Zope running on a RedHat box at a different site. I am building a dev box that I would like to recreate the same senario as on the production machine, which I would prefer not to take offline (but could if necessary). What is the best method of replicating to the 2nd machine (what files to copy, etc)? Once changes are tested etc, can I just reverse the process to move it back? -- Peter M. Is it possible to find every instance of a method (for example every standard_html_footer) on my site? Alternatively, could I find every call to a method? I doing on off-shoot of my current site, and I want to make some changes, but need the make sure I change it everywhere. thanks for any tips Kevin

Apache Content w/ Zope

I am very new to Zope, so please bear with me. I have a virtualhost setup with a rewrite rule so that http://my.host.com will take you directly to our zope root. My boss wants us to be able to put some JSP or PHP scripts and be able to go to http://my.host.com/some.php That of course won't work, because that isn't a zope object. I have seen a method of accomplishing something like this with rewrite rules, so you could have http://my.host.com/nozope be delivering the scripts, and if all else fails, we may have to use that method. I thought it might be possible to have rules saying something like "if it ends in php jsp jpg then it is apache content, otherwise it is zope content" I have no clue how to make that work though. Does anyone have any suggestions? Alex Kelly
