Another quick question

Hello All, Tell me if I'm missing something. I can write <dtml-let temp="1 + 1"> and then use <dtml-var temp> to get the value 2. Then why can't I use a variable and increment it using <dtml-let> ? <dtml-let temp="REQEUST.myVar + 1"> I get an error : Error Type: TypeError Error Value: illegal argument type for built-in operation The variable has the value of 1, so it should just add 1 an' 1 to give me 2. Hi Peter, Thanks for the help, although I think that REQUEST.path is a list and not a dictionary, as seen from querying it directly. Anyhow, what I searched for was REQUEST.path.pop() which allowed me to drop bits off the end. For anyone interested, here is the code I eventually figured out: <dtml-unless "REQUEST.path[0][:6]=='manage' or REQUEST.path[-1][:6]=='manage'"> <dtml-call Session> <dtml-var logic> <dtml-in "REQUEST.path" reverse> <dtml-unless "_['sequence-item']=='indir'"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.path.pop()"> </dtml-unless> </dtml-in> <dtml-call "REQUEST.path.append('get')"> </dtml-unless> This allows a user to access any path where the SiteRule sits in a root directory, called 'indir' This process rule will intercept absolutley ANYTHING passed in its path and rediret it to one page called get. Could be usefull for those who are transporting a legacy site structure into Zope and want to get rid of hundreds of files that NEED to be there, but actually arent in Zope. I use is for product updates that use a directory based GET to our website and the find a file that has html that say 'Update available'. Now I simply use the 'get' document to pick apart that path that was used and then query a database for update results.... I have articles with the following attributes: author, search_meta, title and publication date All attributes are included in the meta data list. When I search my Catalog (of articles), only attributes of type string are returned in the search result. Publication date (of type date) and search_meta (of type text) do not get covered in the search. Why is it so? Cherry

What is this error?

Hi, Recently, when people download video clips (over 20M each) from my Zope website, I get this error in the log file (not everytime but quite often): 2001-07-03T12:33:17 ERROR(200) ZServer uncaptured python exception, closing chan nel <zhttp_channel connected localhost:1557 at 1b72688 channel#: 321 reques ts:1> (socket.error:(10054, 'winsock error') [F:\zope\ZServer\medusa\asynchat.p y|initiate_send|211] [F:\zope\ZServer\medusa\http_server.py|send|399] [F:\zope\ ZServer\medusa\asyncore.py|send|282]) Despite the error visitors still get what they want. IIRC, there was a discussion about exactly that on this list some days (weeks) before. Hi! I want to provide a search interface a dtml-tree. Users should query all of the nodes of the tree and if their keyword matches to the title of the node, the tree should automatically be expanded to display this node What is the best way to do it ? e.g.: A tree about cars: if the table is not expanded it looks like: +cars if it is searched with "Opel" it should expand to: -cars | |- Ferrari | |- Opel Thanks for your help, andreas
