Hi Karsten, the reason why LocalFS is asking for a python15.dll, is because it is using a Python extension, called win32wnet.pyd, which is linked to python 1.5 probably. The easiest way around it is to replace that file zith a python 2.1 version. I think you can even remove it, as it's included as a standard part of Zope 2.4.1. There it lives $ZOPEDIR\bin\lib\win32. Don't worry about the Deprecation Errors as they are of no harm. Problems with Mozilla-0.9.3

Hi there, Mozilla (0.9.3) seems to behave strangely with zope. Every, let's say, 50 operations (clicks on links, forms, ...) it just hangs and never finishes loading the page. Sometimes it doesn't load the small icons. the behavious don't seem to be triggered by some specific event, it just happens from time to time (it probably happened 50 times today! I had to go back to Netscape 4.x!). And when it happens I have to close the browser. Other than that Mozilla runs without problems on all the websites I've seen, it's a great browser and never crashed on me. Is it possible that the ZServer is sending some strange header or something? Zope too runs with no problems and renders ok on Netscape 4.x I'm running Linux Red Hat 7.1 I'm I the only one who's noticed this? Bye |G|

ZPatterns not compiling in zope 2.4

I trying to use Login Manager but i am having some problem with ZPatterns, I have some problem to compile ZPatterns in Zope 2.4.x, I dont know if the problem is just with the Makefile or there is some incompatibility with Zope 2.4.x Does anybody have some hint/suggestion about it? Hi list, I have a little problem with LocalFS and Zope 2.4.1 running on MS W2k After installing LocalFS 0.10.1, I get some Deprecation Errors in $ZOPEDIR\lib\python\ts_regex.py and $ZOPEDIR\bin\lib\regsub.py because the use of regsub etc. This seems not to be a problem to me, cause 'til now regsub is still in python 2.1 - or am I wrong? ATTENTION: Zope.org migration issues

Hello to all Members of Zope.org, As some of you may know, we are hard at work building a new Zope.Org website based entirely on the CMF. Because this is going to be a completely new server, content on the current server has to be migrated and converted for the new site. Most of the content on Zope.org can be migrated quite easily. However, there are a few content types in use on Zope.org that cannot or will not be migrated directly or at all. These types will have to be converted to another content type if they are to be migrated to the new site. You only have to worry about content in your own Member Folder, and only if you really want it migrated. Here are the problem types and what to do with the content they represent: - DTML Method: paste the contents into a 'STX Document' for structured text, or 'Formatted Document' for html formatting. DTML scripting will no longer be supperted on the new Zope.org site. - XML Document: XML Document is usually used to act as the source for a end-document. Render the end-document view to HTML and paste the result into a Formatted Document - ZTopic: Unfortunately, there is no alternative for migrating a ZTopic. beehive zope hosting (OT?)

Hi all, I know this is kind of off topic, but it may be interesting for some people. The german company beehive stopped hosting Zope!!!! For at least the last 3 month you could read on their website that they were overworking their Zope hosting offers and that they could not accept new customers during this time. Now the website just says "We are no longer offering Zope Hosting Services!" Why? I mean it's been the only company in germany (as far as I know) who were hosting Zope. And I think it is a shame for a company who is publishing books on Zope to just cancel their Zope hosting. Maybe I just missed something (reasons?) about that topic and someone and can point me to that. Right now I feel a little stupid because I bought their book (about 90,- DEM) on Zope, which really doesn't bring you any further than the documention which is freely available on the net does. What O/S? I see random segfaults occasionally on solaris, when we look closely we see it's inside the system threading library. At that point we put down the debugger and move away from the problem in a slow and non-threatening manner. keyError problem when displaying string values of a Z SQL Method

Hi, I strictly followed the explanation on ch 10 of the zope book. Kindly, point out what i am doing wrong here. <dtml-in list_all_employees> <li><dtml-var emp_id>: <dtml-var firstName> <dtml-var lastName> </li> </dtml-in> because i keep getting this error Error Type: KeyError Error Value: firstName but each time i removed the <dtml-var firstName> the same type error displayed for lastName and finally, when i removed both the <dtml-var firstName> <dtml-var lastName> it displays the the list of emp_id for me correctly.
