Z SQL Methods appear broken in 2.4.x

It appears that Z SQL Methods are broken in 2.4.x. Specifically, the type=string in a <dtml-sqlvar> is broken - a simple ZSQL query such as: select id, cost, name from choices where name = <dtml-sqlvar nam type=string> results in the following error: exceptions.NameError: global name 'string' is not defined It's broken on 2.4.0 and 2.4.1, and works fine on 2.2.5, 2.3.0, and 2.3.2 - in fact, it's in production on our 2.2.5. Integer parameters work fine. It's hard to believe that no one else has run into this, and that the stable 2.4.x branch has gotten this far without anyone noticing this - I've even tried it on 2 different servers running Zope 2.4 (2.4.1 on FreeBSD 4.0, our production web server, and 2.4.0 on FreeBSD 4.3, our dev server) Any ideas? Zclass Renderable clarification

Just a clarification on my problem using Renderable. If I define a Zclass dtml method called index_html and have it call the render method, then non-folder objects render correctly. That is, if I have a zclass instance called X in folder Z, then Z/X renders. Copying users from one instance to another

I have created a new Zope instance and wish to copy all my users from an older instance. I tried exporting the acl_users folder but cannot reimport it on top of the existing acl_users in the new instance. OT: Need a Zope w/CMF site designer

I gave DC first shot but as I figured this is too small of a project. Please reply offlist if you're interested. Dave ----------------------------------------------------------------- I need a site designed, and would like to use Zope and CMF. Infact I've already created a basic layout using both of these products, but I lack: 1: Time (too busy coding other work in Python. : > ) 2: Indepth Zope Knowledge (see #1) 3: Artistic Web Ability. to be able to finish. The site will be segriagted access (time based subscriber areas) and will primarily offer image galleries for content. What I need: 1: General site design 2: General site graphics (I already have a basic look.) 3: Simplified method (Zope Products, etc) to add content, IE image pages. 4: Simplified method to manage subscribers. 5: Small amount of 'How do I' email/phone time going over what you did. What I do not need: I run my own servers, already set up virtual host monster with proxy pass, etc, etc. The work I need it limited to high level site content and managment. Basicly I want a pretty CMF site that is 'turn key'. I don't want to have to mess around making the tables pretty, or figuring out what products I need. I want a straight forward method to begin adding content. At this time I do not have a lot to spend on this (several hundred dollar range), but then it's just not very large amount of work. I figure it could be finished within a week by someone who knows what they are doing. If I'm over looking the time involved let me know...

Hi! I would like to have a place where you can show people how userfriendly Zope is. I am not a programmer but I am able to build complex sites in two or three days with the lego-like products of Zope. This is a great advantage. problems sorting list

Hi group, I am busy with a part of a cms in which several DTML documents are being displayed on the frontpage. I have the following problem with it, i could not yet figure out how to sort the items by bobobas modification time, i tried different things, none of them helped. To me it seems not a difficult problem, but anyway, i could not figure out how to do that. Can anyone help me? This peace of code is contains it: list = context.items.objectItems('DTML Document') #list.sort(list(bobobase_modification-time)) #list.sort(cmp) #list.sort(lambda a, b: cmp(a.bobobase_modification_time,b.bobobase_modification_time)) #list.sort(objectValues(),('bobobase_modification_time')) All the commented lines contains different approaches, all of them return errors. ZphotoAlbum - Anonymous permissions - Stupid Newbie Question?

Hi All, Zope 2.3.3 I am using ZPhotoAlbum for image management. I need to let the anonymous user upload images and create new folders. The readme says "You can allow users to add pages and photos to your album without allowing them access to the management interface by granting them the "Add ZPhotoAlbums" and/or "Add ZPhotos" permissions. These do not allow the users to alter the objects, or delete them." Accordingly I have gone to the "Security" tab of the ZPhotoAlbum, and given the "anonymous" role the "Add ZPhotoAlbums permission. There is no "Add ZPhotos" permission listed. Accessing the folder anonymously, I do not see the management link (Which is present as expected when I am logged on). Am I doing/not doing something silly? All input gratefully received!
