Hi, I want to make the following folders hierarchy : index_html /Folder1 /Folder2 /news so that I can call /Folder1/news or /Folder2/news My index_html method (which is only present in my root folder) is calling a Python script (also placed in the root folder) which is using current folder properties to display a navigation bar. My problem is that this navigation bar is OK if I just call "/Folder1" or "/Folder2", but when I call "/Folder1/news", the displayed navigation bar is that of the news folder, and I would like to have that of /Folder1 also :-(( I have tried in my Python script to use "context.property1" as well as "container.property1", but without any good result... Hi! I'm making extensive use of structured text in a web page, which users can change within the predefined layouts. Kudos to the inventor of the idea! Now I have found that there's another product (?) available by now, called something like STX documents, that seems to be in beta stadium. What's the purpose of that? Is it supposed to be the future of the standard implementation of structured text for the standard Zope distribution or rather a standalone product? Should I be using that instead of the standard structured text in Zope 2.4? My second question is about extensibility. I have found that there are things I'd like to be included in structured text. Are there ways to extend functionality without hacking source? Say I want a single line containing --- to be interpreted as <hr width="80%">, how can I extend structured text to do this? Authentication without management screens?

Hi, Is there a way to open the standard authentication dialog then redirect to a given url, so that somebody can be logged in, but not necessarily see (by default) the management screens? ZopeFind searching using ANDNOT?

I have a tree on my site that has many different meta_types.My problem is that i want all the branches to display the number of a certain meta_type that it holds. I have used the following code to try this:<dtml-var "_.len(ZopeFind(this(),meta_type==['Material'],search_sub=1))"> This works ok but the problem is that it counts all meta_types.I have no idea why this.I have also tried something like this <dtml-var "_.len(ZopeFind(this(),meta_type==['Material'] ANDNOT ['meta_type_a','meta_type_b'],search_sub=1))"> but it gives me an error.If anyone can tell me what i am doing wrong i would be grateful,or if u could suggest another way to achieve this result. paul dunbar. -- _______________________________________________ Get your free email from http://www.graffiti.net Powered by Outblaze

Calling ZSQLMethods in parents' folder from PythonScripts

Hello I have a folder structure like this... Folder: MyProject ZSQLMethod: create_category_sql Folder: Whatever PythonScript: create_category DTMLMethod: create_category_form The create category form is like this... <form action="create_category" method="post"> etc And the create_category PythonScript tries to do this... context.create_category_sql(context.REQUEST) ... But I get a "Not Found" error when I submit the form...  I thought that using context. Would let the script use acquisition to back it's way up my folder hierarchy and use the ZSQL Method. Or have I got this wrong? ZSQL from Script not working with zope 2.4.0

Hello, I am having problems with this method. This is not working with Zope 2.4 but it does with Zope 2.3. The query is supposed to return the sum of some values and I have called the column 'CountOfResultNo'. I have tried with another query that returns a single value and this one is working. The only difference I can see between the two is that when I try to retrieve a sum, that is "virtual" data, in the sense that that figure is not stored in the database but the result of some calculations. On the other hand my other single result query retrieves something that is actually stored as data in the database. CMF Newbie Question

What are the simple steps, to publish content in CMF? When I create a Topic, Folder or Document (doesn't matter) and publish it, it is not viewable for anonymous on the top level. Adding a News item and publishing it does work.
