I tested it with my site that IS ZOPE based, but Apache front ended, and got the following result: "The site www.70south.com is running Apache/1.3.17 (Unix) (SuSE/Linux) mod_fastcgi/2.2.2 mod_perl/1.24 on Linux." All that happens is either that MailMan decides that your email address bounces too much and disables you, or, if the bounce isn't recognized, I get sent the bounce. Is there any way to do http basic auth for Zope logins via a web-form instead of a pop-up password dialog... I'm under the impression that there's got to be a way to do this either on the client-side or by rewriting some sort of http headers? id (ZopeTime) - f*cked up... can somebody please help...!

F*ck! It is now 1000000000 seconds since 1/1 1970... I am using Zope 2.2.4.. I have alot of stuff with id=_.str(_.int(ZopeTime())) and in this version (don't know about the later vesions) sorts the id's correctly ("1000000000" is less than "999999999" ), but when doing this: <dtml-in "objectValues(['x'])" sort=id> it messes up... I have tried the follwing things (I am desperate you know) 1) <dtml-in "objectValues(['x'])" sort=_.int(id)> 2) <dtml-in "objectValues(['x'])" sort=bobbase_modification_time> Both methods results in NON-SORTED output... Can anybody help me...? /Stoons, the desperate guy....

SQL tree-crawling and DTML

Hi, I have a database of entries that have a category. Categories can be nested. I'm trying to create a method which iteratively calls itself to create a breadcrumbs trail, like this... Home / Measurement / Metres/ Centimeters / ... The only problem seems to be a. I'm using a SQL database to store my categories (each has a category_id and category_parent_id ) b. (I think ) the namespace doesn't get passed to a DTML method when it calls itself... Open Ports

Hello everyone, I'm playing with my firewall and I know that zope has opened a port 9673 (on a debian system it's been reset to 9673 as debian's default, rather than the zope default of 8080), but I was wondering if zope opens other ports as well. I've got two open ports, one at 8021, and the other at 3059. Any ideas? Thanks! Russell

how-to generate a DTMLMethod from a random zClass in a Folder???

Q: I want to generate the DTMLMethod "foo" from a randomly selected zClass in the Folder "bar". As a newbie to developing and to Zope, I have hit a wall with this one... So far, I have randomly generated images, and randomly generated ID's for cookies...but the same approach does not seem to be working on zclass methods. If this helps, I can generate a DTMLmethod using... <dtml-with bar> <dtml-with azClassID> <dtml-var foo> </dtml-with> </dtml-with> i stopped here... <dtml-var expr="_.random.choice(bar.objectValues('id').foo)"> Would it work better if "foo" was a DTMLDocument? I cant find any reference to something like this, so maybe this will become my first how-to. Thanks for the help, -Trevor
