DocumentLibrary or new product ?

Hi, I need an application similar to DocumentLibrary. But I have to make some modifications: 1. I want to assign user rights for a specific topic (folder) 2. The files should be stored externally and not in ZODB. 3. I want to specify, which document types are allowed in a topic (folder) Is there a chance to modify DocumentLibrary to fit my needs or would it be better (easier) to code a new product? TIA Frank

Is ZOPE 2.4.1 working with Python 2.2 ? How do I change the document title via DTML?

I have a DTMLDoc that calls a SQL Method to display the profile for a user. I want to be able to dynamically change the document's title (before calling standard_html_header and the document itself, both of which contains calls to title_or_id) so that the title shows "Profile for user <<username from profile>>". I've tried using dtml-let, REQUEST.set (using dtml-call), as well as <dtml-var standard_html_header title='blah blahb lah'>... all of which didn't work. Any advice?

Well, it depends on the DTML you are using to show the title of the document. My standard_html_header is: <?xml version="1.0" ?> <dtml-comment> MS should get it's act in gear so I can do this... <?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" href="&dtml.url-global_css;"?> </dtml-comment> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <title><dtml-var name="title_or_id"></title> <--------------- Here <link rel="StyleSheet" type="text/css" href="&dtml.url-global_css;" /> </head> <body> <dtml-var name="navbar" missing> You can see the title is called in the line <dtml-var name="title_or_id">. Hi, I tried to get ZopeGUD 1.0.0 preview 5 (http://www.zope.org/Members/morphex/ZopeGUD) running on my Zope 2.4.1 systen. ZopeGUD

The Workspace.zexp thing with zopegud-1.0.0-preview5.tar.gz didn't work because there already is an Catalog with the id Catalog apparently (not as far as I can see though). Then it says (http://www.zope.org/Members/morphex/ZopeGUD) that if the .zexp doesn't work, one should create your own in the Zope management interface. How to do that? What do I need? What am I supposed to throw into the mix? Peter

port 8021 is the ftp port for zope. 3059 doesn't sound familiar... Hi anybody, this is my first post to this mailing list and I hope it works ;-) I build and maintain the zope-forum.org and saw the discussion of Chris, Tane and Gitte about it here in the list. As I mentioned on the startpage of zope-forum.org, we decided to build it in PHP because there is nothing compareable outside written in Zope. But I hope this is not a reason for anybody *NOT* to join and use the forum. It will only get a usefull resource for all of us, if a lot of you will contribute their questions and anwers.
