As of now i can help you out with some basic instructions: 1) Initiate a BITS instance in your ZMI. 2) BITS will by default have an acl_users folder within it, If you don't want to use it and use the existing users in a acl_users folder at it's top then please delete the acl_users folder within BITS. 3) Set the role Projectmanager to the users whom you want to give the ability to add project 4) Set the roles (Developer,Teammember) or (Developer,Teamleader) to those users who are going to participate in BITS. Now you are ready with the configurations. Go to the view tab of bits and create a project with a projectmanager and some team member. And then you can keep adding and tracking BUGS in this project. Hi, I'm having trouble with dtml-tree. I'm trying to do a simple tree listing folders and documents in a VHM folder. Hi, I'd like to do a page to show to users while something loads. It would show users what queries have been executed from a database as they are executed. If the whole thing works, they then go to the page where they are shown the results of those queries. I'm doing this with dtml-calls to queries, which if working will say "query executed". But the page I've made to do this doesn't show this info - it only loads once everything is done. So the user doesn't know if the server is actually doing the queries or not, and will probably press the form button again and again. Any idea how I can give this feedback to users? Zope + htdig indexing problem

!hi, We are having a problem with htdig indexing Zope documents with multiple directory listings from htdig -i -vvv: href:http://dev.website.com/org/org/org/org/org/org/org/org/org/core/index_… resolving 'http://dev.website.com/org/org/org/org/org/org/org/org/org/org/core/index_a…' At the moment, I am referencing http://dev.ohlone.cc.ca.us/ (Zope) http://dev2.website.com/ (Apache/filesystem) in the htdig config start_url. I am using mod_rewrite in http.conf to redirect requests to dev.website.com to http://dev.website.com:8080/. The website functions exactly as expected but the indexing is extreme. I assume that this issue is associated with the zope rewrite but any info to help resolve this would be appreciated. I am also posting this to the htdig list hoping to figure out how to work around it and what the heck is going on. TIA, -Tj

Class templates / meta classes

Hi I am building a fairly simple On-line Shopping Product (I know there some out there already, but please humour me) with a number of ZClasses. Different shop instances will obviously need to be customizeable, for example the properties available for items in a shop might be different from shop to shop. How can I use my generic Shop Product to make a different Product each time I deploy a new shop? I am sort of looking to make a meta-class. Does this make any sense to anyone? Felix.

move contents?

Hi, When exporting from one Zope and importing to another, what problems can arise? Is importing/exporting restricted to zope-installations of the same version, or can objects be moved say from version 2.4.0 to 2.5.0? checking the clipboard

I'd like to have the Paste button show up when there are contents on the clipboard to paste (just like in the ZMI). I presume this bit of functionality has to be performed with a Python script. No mod_proxy, can I still use Zope behind Apache?

I would like to get Zope pages served transparently from a mainly Apache-based site - all I have access to are .htaccess files, so I've created a ~/public_html/zope directory and tried to put a RewriteRule entry in a .htaccess file there to send things to zope at port 8080. But I don't know exactly how to construct the rewrite rules and the Apache examples on zope.org seem to require mod_proxy as well as mod_rewrite. Sadly, only mod_rewrite is available on the server. I did also try to use the PCGI script, but with no success. Any help would be appreciated. Felix.
