Hi, just testing 2.6.0a1. Photo Folder 'view'

I've been playing around with the index_html and view files that came with the Photo Folder Product but I do not see the use for the next piece of code found at the bottom of the 'view' file. I deleted the code and nothing changed when viewing the photos. What does this code do? Zope on Solaris 8?

Hi Why don't you get the source distribution and recompile Zope? It's so easy! Just do a "python wo_pcgi.py" or "python w_pcgi.py" depending on whether you need PCGI. If you need to intall Python aswell there are a few more lines you'll have to write but it basically is no real problem. If you need that please drop me a mail and I'll write them together and mail them to you. regards oliver

Zope on Solaris 8?

My Zope instance won't run, when I issue start, I see it's creating a pid file, and then when I look in a process file, I don't see anything from Zope, and the pid isn't appearing in my process list. So, no logging and I don't have any info here. I saw the download was for Solaris 2.6, this means it's not usable for Solaris 8? Does someone has Zope running on Solaris 8 then? Hallo, Is there any way to check the number of authenticated(logged) users? As I understand the Cookie Crumbler has nothing to do with Zope Sessions. Do I have to code it separately? Pawel Lewicki

dtml-in over python script

I have a SQL query that I need to wrap in a Python script. Fine and dandy. I'd like the results of the python call to be accessable with dtml-in but with custom field/attribute names. I other words, I want to be able to do this: --- dtml --- <dtml-in MyPythonScript> <dtml-var favorite_food> <dtml-var favorite_color> </dtml-in> And this: --- MyPythonScript --- rawresults = context.query_favorites() results = [] for rawitem in rawresults: food, color = results[0].bigfield.split(',') results.append(???) return results ---- What would I place in the ??? field? I've tried: A dictionary ("{'favorite_food':food, 'favorite_color':color}"). An object (placing a small class in the script. Fails to create the object.) I've also tried adding my attributes to the existing result objects but that also fails. Suggestions? This seems like it should be pretty easy.

Problem with BTreefolder, dictionaries and refresh/restart

Hello all, I have a strange Problem with a little python product I have written. It inherits from BTreeFolder and has an additional Attribute 'test' which is of the type dictionary. When I create a new instance of this Product, I can add a new key:value pair to the dictionary test. -> {'a':'1'} If I restart the server now or refresh my product, this dictionary entry still exists. But if I add a new key:value pair to test (or two, or three) and restart the server or refresh my product, all new entrys are gone. Only the first entry {'a':'1'} persits. If I try to change the first entry and restart or refresh, the changes to the first entry are gone too. 'test' seems to be static after the initial write access. Can anybody help me? hallo bei installiertem cmf kann ich auf zweierlei art ordner anlegen 1. klassisch im zope management screen 2. im cmf : folder-contents /add/folder mach ichs auf die klassische art, seh ich unter cmf den ordner nicht. was fehlt oder ist anders. oder ist es nur ein rechte problem danke gruss rainer r. greim

Hello, I would be very interested if you find success. I have been unsuccessful via several routes authenticating against an NT4 domain. That said, I was able to auth. against active directory via LDAP. If that could help you, I will provide more details.
