jcNTUserFolder, win32all etc

I've been trying to use jcNTUserFolder on a Win2K Server machine, Zope 2.5.1. As others have reported here, it installs fine but I can only see local machine users and not users in the domain. I've tried changing the user that Zope is running as to a privileged domain user, thinking that the user might need some kind of access privs, but no luck there. A suggestion I've seen is to get the latest win32all package and install that, but I'm running into a problem there - win32all won't install, claiming that it can't find a Python 2.1 installation -- even when I point it to the folder containing python21.dll. Before I try to do this by hand, has anyone else had more success with this approach, or jcNTUserFolder, or NT domain authentication in general? Zope and Apache+SSL, round 2

I am trying to set up Zope so that it is accessible via secure link _only_ through Apache. Configuration: Solaris 2.8 (SunOS <myhost> 5.8 Generic_108528-14 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraAX-i2) Apache/2.0.36 with mod_ssl and (shared) mod_proxy, mod_rewrite. Zope Version: Zope 2.5.1 (binary release, python 2.1, solaris-2.6-sparc), python 2.1.3, sunos5 Python Version: 2.1.3 (#1, Apr 15 2002, 12:32:48) [GCC 2.8.1] Apache configuration (extract): <IfModule mod_ssl.c> <VirtualHost _default_:443> SSLEngine on <IfModule mod_proxy.c> ProxyRequests Off ProxyPass /Zope/ http://myhost:8080/ ProxyPassReverse /Zope/ http://myhost:8080/ ProxyPass /misc_ http://myhost:8080/misc_ ProxyPass /p_ http://myhost:8080/p_ </IfModule> </VirtualHost> </IfModule> Zope has a SiteRoot object added to the root folder with Base https://myhost/Zope and Path /. Several issues: 1. In ZMI top frame gives Error 404 as it refers to https://myhost/manage_page_style.css 2. In Control Panels link to Debug Information gives the same error for the same reason. 3. Link to Help! gives the same error as it tries to fetch https://myhost/Control_Panel/Products/OFSP/Help/<something>.stx 4. I cannot use "localhost" "127.0.0.1" instead of "myhost" as many "How-To"s suggest - somehow it refers to the machine I run browser on. Proxy only the Zope management interface over SSL?

I am curious if someone has found a way to proxy only the Zope management interface over SSL while leaving the tier 3 pages open. I am fronting Zope with Apache. httpd.conf looks like this. <VirtualHost XXX.YYY.com> ...... ReWriteEngine on ReWriteRule ^(.+)/manage https://XXX.YYY.com/$1/manage [R,L] ProxyPass / http://ZZZ.YYY.com:8080/ ProxyPassReverse / http://ZZZ.YYY.com:8080/ </VirtualHost> Proxy works fine, but rewrite rule doesn't work correctly. SVGmodule almost working in Zope, a little help is needed

Hello, Our SVG module is working in Python. It makes it rather easy to produce SVG content from Zope. It is not working totally, however. It is working as external method, but this is not ideal, you need access to the server to change scripts. The idea is that you program in a python script with the classes that are made available by the SVGdraw module. This should be possible by the allow_module and allow_class possibilties by making an extra folder in the Products folder and add an __init__.py as well as the module itself (SVGdraw.py) The content of the __init__.py is: from AccessControl import allow_module, allow_class, allow_type from AccessControl import ModuleSecurityInfo, ClassSecurityInfo from Globals import InitializeClass allow_module('SVGdraw') I tried several, also with all of the classes added, but this doesn't work: allow_class('drawing') Btw, if you are interested, here is a temporary place for a SVGdraw that is a little changed especially for Zope: http://www2.sfk.nl/Hans/svg/SVGdraw.zip A link to a slightly different version was published in the daily python url in april, but it is now more mature. Unpickleable Error

Hello, why is it impossible to use HTML Objects in a Zope-Product. The HTML Object even inherits from Persistance?! I always get this UnPickleable - Error when I try below Thanks for any help.... Hi everybody, I wrote an external method that performs the authentication to an AFS server, calling a C subroutine that I wrapped with SWIG. tree tag's namespace

Hi, I've got <dtml-tree> which branches_expr calls a method which returns a list of mappings. e.g. : [ { 'name' : 'jerome', 'age' : 72 }, { 'name' : 'albert', 'age': 2}, ... ] now in the body of the tree tag, I want to access each mapping, i.e. push it onto the current namespace. I've tried to add the "mapping" keyword, which works fine for <dtml-in>, but with no luck. I wanted to use the _.namespace() method, but I can't access the tree's "pseudo-sequence-item". is there a solution ? if no, then could the 'mapping' keyword be added to the tree tag and let it work like for dtml-in ? (I've looked at the code but I really don't know how to do) Any help appreciated Thanks in advance Jerome Alet
