Power fail. startup script for red hat linux?

Anybody have an /etc/init.d/ startup script for Zope for Red Hat Linux? I did a quick search on google and found a Debian one. I'll probably take a peek at that and see if I can make it work. Thanks, // mark -

Temp Folder Magic

Hi all, I'm finally revisiting the nasty part of my code that periodically hoses itself and fails to deliver resized images. ;-D I need to implement a cache of image objects in Zope (i.e. not in front of Zope), and it was suggested to me that the best way might be to use "Temporary Folders" in Zope 2.5.1. Anyway, I now see that Temporary Folder is a bit more magical than most Zope objects (not too surprizing I suppose). Anyway, what I'm trying to do is inherit from both Image and Temporary Folder and create the resized images in the object (supposing that they will then be stored temporarily). Perhaps this is naive, but it was my first guess as to the most logical way to do this. I note that the meta_type for MountedTemporaryFolder says it's "Broken Temporary Folder". So where does "Temporary Folder" come from? Questions: 1. *Can* I inherit from Temporary Folder as desired, and if so, will it act as a Temporary Folder? 2. If so, how? Thanks, Dieter. The FTP script basically walks the source folder tree on the Zope side and issues a 'mget *' instruction in each folder, then either issues a 'cd name' to visit an enclosed folder or a 'cdup' to return to a previous folder. There is only one FTP instance at work (Zope at the source end, wu-ftp at the sink end). I would have thought that FTP would be dumb and not fire off independent copy processes for each transfer. I'll try it again and take a look using lsof.

rewrite, VHM, and base href problem

Hi everyone, I'm finally getting around to working on problem that's been bothering me for a while. I'd like to use a Virtual Host Monster (VHM) and Apache's mod_rewrite to redict certain URLs to subdirectories of my Zope site. For example: http://isd197.org/mendota/ and http://mendota.isd197.org/ The first one works perfectly. The second, however, works except for the graphic at the top of the page. FTP from Zope

I wrote an External Method which generates an FTP script to download as source one of my sites. When I pass it to the FTP system it happily logs into Zope and starts the downloads, building the directory tree on the way. Part of the way through it dies on a "too many files" error. And a look at the transaction log says there were lots and lots of file errors. I did not attept to do much of a handshake -- I just stream the commands into the ftp program ftp -m <commands >>log The commands manage the tree traversal and actions on both the source and the destination and follow the general pattern of move to directory at the source create directory at destination (the local machine) mget * move to any subdirrectory (and repeat recursively) Any idea why it bombs? workaround? -dra

How to change permissions of ExtFile ??

I have created an interface for users to upload files to a zope server and everytime they upload the files I create an ExtFile to keep the file metadata. The problem is .. I want the files only to be accessible by Authenticated Users. How can I do this via a Python Script ? ( I Know how to do it manually using ZMI ) I want to do it dynamically using a python script. For four days now, I have been trying to build some simple products - using the Zope Book instructions on product creation and the basic objects that are created when you follow the instructions..... But to no avail - I always get this same error that I haven't a clue as to what it means..... Any help out there on what I'm doing wrong?
