Unauthorized error

Well, my student programmer is gone and now suddenly my financials site is not working. It spontaneously asks me to log in, and then gives me an error when I try to view the page. Here's the traceback in the HTML source:  It looks like an unauthorized error, but I'm the site manager and I haven't restricted access to any pages for myself. This happens randomly throughout my site, including when I just try to go back to the main manage page and have just logged in. In other words, it seems to be forgetting that I'm the manager who has already logged in. I don't know where to start fixing this problem. Can someone give me an idea? Parametera and Formulator

Hi, I have two questions today, both concerning the not so clearly explained parameter passing of Zope: 1. Did I understand it right when I assume that all the variables (form and dtml-let stuff) are available in all the objects that are below (in the object hierarchy) the one where they were defined. 2. How do I pass one of these Global (?) variables to a python procedure from a DTML page ? Assigning roles in context from groups

I am using LDAPUserFolder with Zope 2.5.1 to authenticate users. I have users in groups (which show up as roles in Zope) such that the group names are part of some folder names, and I want to put the users in roles in the context of a folder based on whether they are in a group that matches the folder name and a certain role name. This should allow me to assign permissions to those roles in a containing folder and have them apply only to the folders that a user is in a group for. For example, if I put user 'jhohm' in group 'foo_dogs', then 'jhohm' automatically has the 'foo_dogs' role, but I also want 'jhohm' to have the 'dogs' role in the context of the '/auto/foo' folder; likewise for 'bar_dogs' giving 'dogs' in '/auto/bar', etc. Then I can just assign permissions to 'dogs' in '/auto'. I figured that one way would be to create a product inherited from OFS.Folder that defined an __ac_local_roles__ method, but I'm not having much luck with that (it seems to do nothing). Am I even on the right track?

Dynamic Sum

Hi *, I have a dtml-in which lists both quantity and cost of items in my table. I am generating the total for each item row like so - <dtml-var expr="cost * qty" fmt="dollars-and-cents-with-commas"> What would be the practical approach to calculating the sum of all totals for each item here? Accessing local filesystem through Webdav ( Zope ) ?

Blob, LocalFS almost solved my problems by mapping file system to Zope - fowever it doesn't yet support WebDav, which brings me back to my problem. How could I get local file system visible in Zope - so that it would work also with Webdav? Why? Well at our office we have a samba share on server and intranet in Zope. Changing Passwords (exUserFolder, CMF)

I have exUserFolder (postgresql) and the CMF working very well together. I've written a short form and script to allow users to change their passwords that returns a redirect to a "user profile" page. The script runs great until the redirect and then prompts the user for their username and password again (presumably because it's been changed). I'd like to skip this step if possible. Thanks for the feedback. The debug screen shows "C:\PROGRA~1\WebSite\bin\lib\site-packages" under syspath and "C:\PROGRA~1\WebSite\lib\python" for SOFTWARE_HOME. I have tried putting a site-packages directory in the following locations with no luck. Plone 1 beta (problems with existing sites)

Hi!! I installed the new version of plone on the older (1 alpha 4) just replaicing the oder directory with the newer. If I create a new plone site, it works. But if I can to access to older site (create before patch) the main page is showed with a longged user (me), and I can't log out I can't do anything! I tryed to delete them, delete coockies..... but nothing... Some ideas? Yeah, that's really true. 3% can be a lot if you are working for a big company. And what's about systems like IRIX where there is no netscape 6 yet and the new versions of mozilla are really slow? Suppose that your boss doesn't know much of programming, he's not going to accept that excuse. I've experienced it.
