I want to measure the exactly rendering speed of dynamically generated pages in Zope. How can i do this? Friday the 13th and date range search :-)

Hi, I'm doing a date range search on a Catalog and I'm getting results that don't match the range. Before today, it had worked perfectly, but when I introduce dates between the 12th and 15th September it fails. Is it related with friday the 13th? :-) This is my code: id: searchInCatalog Parameter List: date1, date2 catalog=context.Catalog return catalog( { 'meta_type' : 'EvDocDate', 'event_date' : [date1,date2], 'event_date_usage': 'range:min:max', 'sort_on' : 'event_date', } ) I called it so: <dtml-let date1="'2002/09/12 8'" asDate1="_.DateTime(date1)" date2="'2002/09/12 13'" asDate2="_.DateTime(date2)" results="searchInCatalog(asDate1,asDate2)"> from: <dtml-var asDate1> til: <dtml-var asDate2> <dtml-in results> <dtml-let myObj="_['sequence-item']"> <dtml-var "myObj.event_date"> <dtml-var expr="(asDate1<=myObj.event_date) and (myObj.event_date<=asDate2)"> </dtml-let> </dtml-in> </dtml-let> And it prints: from: 2002/09/12 08:00:00 GMT+2 til: 2002/09/12 13:00:00 GMT+2 2002/09/16 07:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 07:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 09:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 09:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 10:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 10:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 11:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 11:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 12:00:00 GMT+2 0 2002/09/16 12:00:00 GMT+2 0 If you see the expresion "(asDate1<=myObj.event_date) and (myObj.event_date<=asDate2)" is allways false, then why is the catalog retuning this values? If you really get a string "['a','b']", you can strip off the leading and trailing brackets and the quotes and proceed as in the thread. You could also convert to a list of strings using eval() in an external method, but that would be overkill, I think. Cheers, Tom P

Zope page templates and query strings

Any advice on the following problem accepted with thanks: I'm generating a list of data items in a zope page template.The data comes from an ZSQL method and successfully generates a list of items in the database however I have Compilation failures if I try the following: <a href="delete?isbn="isbn"">delete</a> the error returned is " TAL.HTMLParser.HTMLParseError: EOF in middle of construct," What I'm trying to do is construct a query string thus (where isbn is '1234567890'): <a href="delete?isbn=1234567890>delete</a> The delete object (another page template) is (I hope) a tal equivalent to a '<dtml-call delete>' thanks in advance for any suggestions: Stu

Greetings. I was wondering if this is a bug, or if I'm just doing something wrong. I'm trying the following page template code: s is a list of strings. I'm trying to condition on membership of 'string' in the list s, but I get the following error: exceptions.TypeError on 'in ' requires character as left operand in "", at line 56, column 4 any help would be appreciated. regards, Christian Gromoll

Profiling python scripts on filesystem

Hi all I want to profile my scripts on the filesystem, but unfortunately CallProfiler by Richard was not designed to do that, and I have no idea how to integrate Python's own Profiler with Zope. Any (not too hackish) ideas? cross browser compatibility

How do Zope folks negotiate the tension between supporting 4.x browsers and developing standards compliant websites? I'd be interested to hear any techniques, strategies, policies you've found helpful--also, if you have a perspective from which my question seems to embrace a false dichotomy, please share that too! This is calling a python-script like the following: python:form.listchains(CustomerCompany) CustomerCompany is a dtml-let in the main URL that called this Formulator Form. Installing TextIndexNG

Hi all, I have tried to install TextIndexNG on a windows platform (with zope 2.5.1) I have tried several vesions of TextIndexNG included the latest release (1.05.beta). Everytime I try to "python setup.py install" I get this error : CompressedList/pyclist.c(20) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'Python.h': No such file or directory error command '"C:\Program Files\...\cl.exe"' failed with exit status 2 There are no such file as Python.h Does anybody have a solution ?
