Hello, I have configured my zope site according to this doc: http://www.zope.org/Members/Mamey/PHP Which is a doc on how to run cgi¹s within the zope site to maintain consistency across my site. ³Serve PHP/Perl within Zope² I have the scripts running called ³DirectToCGIContent² and ³ServeCGIContent² similar to what the scripts recommend (my cgi¹s are perl). I have installed a siteroot at the local directory ( user home dir) because I am only running Zope on port 80 and apache running on port 8080. My ultimate goal is to be able to run perl/cgi scripts inside zope with one look and feel across the site no matter if I am running cgi¹s or zope. I am running the latest ver of Plone , CMF 1.3 If it matters I am running zope on Solaris 9. WebDav & MS Word XP problem - CANNOT SAVE

Hi, When I open a file from Zope 2.5.1 in MS Word XP, it's read-only. I think it's probably due to the webdav lock stuff. If Zope 2.5.1 doesn't support the newest webdav protocle, any workaround? PCGI and WebDAV?

I just setup Apache on Win2000 with PCGI access to Zope. I am using mod_auth_sspi to authenticate users. It works great, but I ran into a problem. How do I get my WebDav to work now? In order to setup Apache to authenticate you must put the server into REMOTE_USER mode. I noticed that the users I create in Zope now do now have passwords anymore. This is fine, Apache is taking care of that, but, now Zope wont authenticate by itself. This is what I used to setup the authentication. <Location /cgi-bin/Zope.cgi> AuthType SSPI SSPIAuth On SSPIAuthoritative On require group "DOMAIN\GroupName" </Location> If I add the DAV portion to Apache, it still wont work. The errors say "Unable to Authenticate." I do have the mod_dav enabled. I added this to the Location above: DavLockDB c:/temp/davlock Dav on Thanks for any help you may have. First of all, you won't be getting the end user to access the zsql method directly so you'll need a little wrapper to display the results. Getting ID of dtml-method

Is there a way to get the ID of a dtml method from with the given method itself? Also, is there a way to retrieve the ID of the calling method from inside of standard_html_header? For example: The method index_html calls standard_html_header and I want to be able to retrieve the id of index_html (i.e. "index_html") from inside of standard_html_header. Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin

I do not think, this is a typical "zope-dev" question (development *of* not *with* Zope). Rerouted to Zope(a)zope.org... Some basic questions on Zope performance/scalability

Hi all, First, I apologize for posting this. I'm sure the topic has been discussed time and again, but I couldn't find a definite answer to my queries: 1. I made a custom user folder using MySQL as a storage backend. But I always feel wary about that User Folder method getUsers(). I have about 300,000 users in a MySQL db table. Is this method really meant to return that many users? Or the fundamental design of a Zope User Folder is intended for a small group of users? 2. Again, I have a 300,000-strong user base. Would it be wise to let them create a home folder and start adding things of their own? Could ZODB's FileStorate model take that much data without any problems or without severe perfomance penalty? I'm trying to pull out huge data objects as external files (as I did with NeoBoard's attachments), but I guess there's a limit to that approach too (and it's seemingly stupid not to use ZODB for all the benefits it offers). Simply put, say you already have 300,000 users with tons of data for each of them and you want to put them and their data somewhere in and/or outside of Zope. What would you do? Thanks in advance. Hello, I'm attempting to create an expandable/collapsible tree type document (e.g. msword outline style) from the body of CMFDocument containing structured text.
