External editor and images

Hi, I was inmstall external editor on Win32 with FrontPage editor and it works OK. But I cannot include images in page. Either already saved pages with images when I want to edit, while editing images does not appear. Exists some solution for that, or this method is for formatted texts only? many thanks, J. Lukesh

Accessing a dtml-let variable in a script (python)

Is it possible to access a variable in a python script which was created in a dtml-let tag. Thought it would be simply a matter of referencing it using context.variable_name but this doesnt work. Also thought it may have been accessed thru the namespace setting in the script, but could not work it out. Thanks for any ideas. Dear Chris, Thanks for the reply. ZMI does not have interface to create anything other than users in acl_users folder. I have created all the zsqls in [zope instance root]/control_panel/Products/SimpleUserFolder Is this correct? XML Documents editor

Hi all I am interested in haveing a solution for the users to be able to create/edit and save documents in the following manner. The documents may contain tables/lists/images. I would like the the documents to be saved in XML on the server. The users may get a copy and edit on their machines (if possible using their favourite word processors) and overwrite the copy on the server. The issue here would be whether the word processor can save in XML without adding its own proprietary tags. The "portability" of the documents is a concern here. Is there any XML editor that can be used for this purpose ? TIA Chetan

DTML singleton tags

Hi, list we are generating DTML code from XML via a XSLT transformation (using Daniel Veillard's wonderful libxml2). Problem is, that DTML has a couple of `singleton' tags, most prominently <dtml-var ...>. This is not very XML friendly, and as we want to produce DTML, we have to embed DTML code in the XSLT stylesheet. To make things easier, I just modified Zope (don't kill me ;) to accept a trailing slash in tags, as in <dtml-var .../>. Since the parser (in $ZOPEDIR/DocumentTemplate/DT_HTML.py) doesn't know about the tag names, I chose the most lazy variant and accept a trailing slash in *any* tag (with possible whitespace between `/' and `>'). I'd like to make the patch available if there is any interest. I'd be willing to modify my solution if this makes the patch more acceptable. I see three possibilities: (1) Lazy. Any (non-closing) tag accepts (and ignores) a trailing slash (that's what I've right now, and I'll stick to it if it stays my private solution). (2) Sloppy. HTML-ish. Accept a trailing slash for singletons. Would be my favourite -- but would only be worth the effort if it gets integrated back, I think. (3) Picky. XHTML-ish. Enforce trailing slash in singletons. Would break existing DTML code, thus I'd rule this out. What do you think? Regards -- tomas
