Hello, Just tried to run zope under Suse 9.0 and had the problem to log in. After following the previous discussion on this subject I managed to log in after the following changes: The file 'inituser' in /opt/zope is owned by root:root with only rw access rights for the owner. chmod go+r /opt/zope/inituser rm /opt/zope/var/Data.fs restart zope Open localhost:8080/manage I was able to log in with 'superuser' and '123'. MetaPublisher and dtml-let

tal+zclasses

Hi, Till now I did everything with dtml, external python scripts, python scripts and zclasses. Gradualy I want to switch over to pagetemplates and external python products. The first thing I want to do is converting the dtml to pagetemplates in the actual sites. These sites are based on a lot of Zclasses. For instance: <dtml-with batest> <dtml-var index_html> </dtml-with> Where batest is an instance of a basic element of our content management system. After reading zpt docs (Zopebook and docs on devshed), searching in the mailing list archives I came to the following equivalent: <tr><td tal:define="batest here/batest" tal:content="batest/index_html"></td></tr> This only works in the way that it can find the index_html method (dtml) in the Zclass batest is an instance of. It won't render (it won't find) the other dtml-methods or any other object in the Zclass wich the index_html calls. So how do I do a 'dtml-with' in tal? Henny

WGET Error

I need to use wget to access a zope hosted URL in order to call a certain module for coreblog so that the e-mails going into moblog are read in properly. I can access the URL from a web browser just fine but when I use wget (and I did compile 1.9.1 from source with the --with-ssl and --with-socks options) I get a 503:Service Unavailable error msg. Any idea how I get this resolved? The command I am using to access the URL is: wget https://user:pass@secure.foo.com/zope/foo/receive

Do you have a STUPID_LOG_FILE setup ? If not, set one up, and look to see if there's any problems showing up at zope startup ... Might give you a clue as to what's going on !
