I must be missing something obvious but I am at a loss for what it is. I am attempting to include a Python module ( the module at http://python-dsv.sourceforge.net/) in my Zope 2.6.2 Win2000 site so that it can be used by Zope python scripts. I have been following ( at least as far as I can tell) the instructions provided in the "README.txt" of the "PythonScripts" product at "lib/python/Products/PythonScripts/", namely to create a new Product directory, add the module, and an "__init__.py" file according to the instructions, restart the server. All appears well there. I then attempt to import the module in a Python script( which appears to work). My first attempt to use it though results in authentication requests and eventually ( after using correct authentication for the admin) the following message: "System Unavailable This site is currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please contact the site administrator for more information. For additional technical information, please refer to the HTML source for this page. Thank you for your patience. Error type: Unauthorized Error value: The container has no security assertions. Access to 'organizeIntoLines' of (module 'DSV.DSV' from 'F:\WEBSIT~1\lib\python\Products\DSV\DSV.py') denied." I am guessing it is something simple I have overlooked but I am not sure where to go next.

LocalFS

I have a directory on a network drive with employees images. I like to produce a page with everyone's picture that I can click on and get more information on that employee. I am using LocalFS to be able to see the directory that contains the images, I am naming the Local Filesystem object "myImages". In order to get the images I have a dtml method with the code: <dtml-in expr="myImages.objectValues('Image')"> That code returns the error that objectValues has not been defined. Can I do this with LocalFS? and can I treat a localFs object just as another zope folder? Thanks Hara

Hi All, We have some problems with TextIndexNG2.04 on linux Zope 2.6.2, Plone 1.05 If we catalog some file like objects (we have custom made objects extending File (portal-file)), with a .pdf extension in the id of the file, the following error occurs (in zope console debug mode): Error: May not be a PDF file (continuing anyway) Error (0): PDF file is damaged - attempting to reconstruct xref table... Error: Couldn't find trailer dictionary Error: Couldn't read xref table . And the object is not catalogued (nothing in the Searchable text). Now, if we rename the file to another name without the extension .pdf, the metadata of the object gets catalogued but not the pdf file itself Does anybody have an idea? Any workaround ? -- Fnk P.S. List problem

Hi, I am having trouble creating a list. I can create a list using the following: <dtml-in expr="_.range(cs_size)"> <input type="text" name="pbr1_temp" size="6"> </dtml-in> I see the information using the following: <dtml-in expr="_.range(cs_size)"> <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('pbr1', pbr1_temp[cell_stack_counter])"> </dtml-in> Now I need to load the list to check items. I thought I could do the following: <dtml-in lookup_all_history_record > <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('creation_date_inspect_temp', creation_date_inspect)"></dtml-in> But if I try to display the creation_date_inspect_temp[sn_counter] I have a Keyerror object unknown. Zope in transactional web sites

Hi Apologies if this list is the wrong place to post this request. I am looking for examples of cases where Zope or Plone have been used as the basis for transactional web sites - e.g. banking, shopping. Specifically, Zope should provide the front end to a transactional back-end, preferably processing medium to high volumes of transactions (5 - 10 million/year). I have searched all the Zope related web sites I know but all the case studies provided deal with informational rather than transactional sites. Any pointers appreciated awillo

Newbie Question

I am very new to Zope and have a few questions for the list. My partlially redesigned website can be viewed here: http://horn.digimark.net:8080/Butterflies.com/products/010_artwork I need to create a page view for my product subdirectories that have 2 columns. 1st column would contain the small image as is currently being displayed along with a 2nd column which would contain a description of it's contents. So in the case of Artwork the subdirectories would look like this: Image Exotic butterflies encased in elegant acrylic displays Image Framed Tropical butterflies from the Peruvian Rainforest The items within the subdirectory would look the same as above. This would give the pages some balance and not so one-sided. The ideal solution would be to have the page list 20 items/subdirectories split between two colums with text below each item, but this might be asking for too much right now. searching and serving large textfiles ~120 Mb

Hi zopistas, I need to access large textfiles (~120Mb) from zope. I know the python lager file support and that it is better to keep large files out of the ZODB. I have to do a full text search on these files residing in a folder hierachy on the server, show their content around the location of the found string and allow scrolling in that files source from zope. Has anybody done something similar to this with that lager files and would share his experiences? Are there any do's and don'ts or best ways to do it? Thanks for your answers, SK

So I think that customers dont see this little drop-out. I have attached the method of a class I am trying to use. It queries (I think) the catalog 'users' and uo = ro[0] returns a mybrains instance. When I add the .getObject() I get the error listed below. Worse, I can't clear the error without deleting the directory in which the object resides.
