Hi list, I'm pretty much pulling my hair out at this point. For some reason I am unable to get an "&" displayed on my web page, not matter what I do. The offending character resides in a RestructuredText document. I've tried escaping it: \& \\& \\\\& I've tried: & \x38 \u0026 I've changed the encodings on the Doc to iso-8859-1 from iso-8859-15 and UTF-8. The encoding on the web site is iso-8859-1 . Right now, the ReST doc itself displays properly in the "view" tab, but on the site, we get & displayed. So somewhere along there, it not only converts & to & it also converts it again to &amp; Here's how I call the ReST doc: Any ideas? Thanks. Alec Munro

Acquisition question/problem

I have a product called TemplateWebsite, which i use to replace a members index_html object when their account is created. The TemplateWebsite object has a localHeader and standard_top_bar object among other things that are supposed to replace the global zope objects. Consider the following directory structure Members | ------ person1 | ------- index_html (TemplateWebsite) | ------- testpage (dtml method) I want to display the testpage along with the custom objects from the TemplateWebsite so i reference it with this url http://localhost:8080/cmf_portal/Memebrs/person1/index_html/testpage But that doesnt work, is my thinking correct? If not, what is the proper way to do this? BTW. I had this structure working a few days ago but after re-organizing a few things it has stopped working.

delete catalog entry by rid

I've the rid of an unexistent object in the catalog. How can I delete the catalog entry by rid (record id)? if I do a getObject() on it, I have as id "Catalog". On existent object I have the object id.

looking for a CMF python functions reference

Hi, I browsed the web and didn't find what I'm looking for : a CMF python functions reference. I use latest Plone and wanted to know every python method that is applicable to a "Folder" object, for example : I already know getFolderContents(). Thanks for any hint, if anyone knows. Barbara Post

Is there a TAL equivalent for this DHTML statement: <dtml-var sequence-item html_quote newline_to_br> I used the python statement: context.manage_addProduct['OFSP'].manage_addFile(id, title="", file="description") to add the file and I want now, within my TAL to read the 'description' I tried : news Thanks Kate

javascript/zope object browsing widget

I find myself in need of a javascript pop-up that can emulate a typical file-browsing widget... but instead of browsing the filesystem, I need to browse CMF content objects. I need it to return the path to the selected object when the user clicks OK. Anybody got a link to a good starting point? My first question.

My first question got lost in all the discussion of the second. I'm going to repost it in hopes of getting lucky. In order to keep my table headers consistent across reports, I have them stored as a separate DTML method called IS_Ptd_Header. In my main Income Statement, I have this where I want the table header to show up; This works fine. The problem I've run into is when I want to use tal tags in the IS_Ptd_header like this; Income Statement for period Period If I have this line in the Income Statement ZPT it works. I get the "Per" parameter from the URL. When the same line in IS_Ptd_Header gets ignored so the resulting page shows "Income Statement for period Period". I thought that maybe the tal tags were being ignored because IS_Ptd_Header is a DTML method so I created a ZPT with the name IS_YTD_Header and used that in the tal replace command but the result came back as HTML quoted text instead of the actual HTML. Anyone know what I'm missing? It doesn't look like ZPT is designed to work this way. For my footer, (for now) I just have the </table> tag to finish my table. The ZPT gives me a mismatched tag error. What's the best way to modularize the web pages? Thanks

Hello! I'm not sure if this the right list to ask questions about PlacelessTranslationService: Is there something similar to the accept_methods in the Localizer Product? I want to set the prefered language programmatically. I've seen PloneLanguageTool which seems to do that, but I'm not on Plone. Thanks!
